Every business trip to Japan for the last 10 years has seen super long queues outside but never had the time to wait for so long. Always wondered why people line up for this and when finally visited the restaurant and was very impressed with the freshness and taste. The signature Baked BBQ pork buns and Pan-fried Turnip cake are really good.

The place was packed by 11:00 AM on a Wednesday. While the food is quite pricey for dim sum, the quality is consistent and the service was fantastic despite the crowd. The limited-release black chicken and truffle bun was a highlight, offering a more balanced savory profile that surpassed the original pork bun. It is a solid meal, though the increasing costs are noticeable.

The food is delicious and the taste is consistently great—no matter how many times I visit, it never changes. The queue can be long, but the wait is not too bad (around 10–15 minutes). The restaurant gets very crowded inside, and the tables are a bit small and narrow. However, the food comes out quickly and the staff are fast and efficient.

Used to go to THW often in Singapore and liked it, but not been in a few years. So tried this one in Yurakucho today and it was very average if not poor. Bland and fairly tasteless dumplings and other items. Sauces not that good either and no sauce dish, so you have to use a flat plate… what nonsense! I will unlikely come here again as it was so meh 😑

Tim Ho Wan is the best HK dumping place in Tokyo! There's always a huge line but it's worth waiting. The foods are ordered via mark sheets like HK dumpling style ;) The price is reasonable. The seats are a bit close to each others.
