ランデブーラウンジThe Rendez-Vous Lounge & Bar
The lobby lounge, which can be called the face of the hotel. Located in the lobby, it has an urban and calm atmosphere. On the wall is a major work by Minami Tada titled 'Reimei' (commonly known as the 'Wall of Light'). Enjoy afternoon tea during a graceful afternoon, or spend a stylish adult time in the evening with light meals and high tea. Please use it for various purposes, such as a break between shopping, a meeting place, or for business meetings.

I absolutely loved the ambiance at The Rendezvous Lounge — it’s elegant, metropolitan yet serene, with that classic Imperial Hotel sophistication. The space is large and open, featuring the stunning expansive Wall of Light that adds a dramatic, glowing touch to the whole area. The lounge was fully crowded with tables occupied (it’s clearly THE meeting place in Tokyo for business discussions, afternoon tea, or casual catch-ups), but the crowd was wonderfully well-mannered and quiet — no noisy groups or disruptions, just a refined hum of conversation. I can almost doze off. HAHAH. Service was super fast and attentive (classic Imperial Hotel quality), and the seats are comfortable yet simple — perfect for longer stays without feeling overly plush. The lighting is just right: bright enough for reading menus, working on a laptop, or having a productive meeting, but still warm and inviting. The coffee was really good — smooth, flavorful, and served promptly.
View on GoogleWe ate the classic afternoon tea. It was pretty basic, I can’t say anything stood out flavour wise, maybe the fish burger ? The cakes were average I would say, I expected more from this hotel. The service bringing the tea refills was too slow. There were a lot of staff so I don’t know why it took so long. I think we had only 2 refills in the whole time, if it was quicker I would’ve drank more- maybe the service is slow so you drink less? I would rather go somewhere else next time. There are better afternoon teas in Tokyo for the same price. The only good thing was the afternoon teas had a package with an audio history tour of the hotel-this was very interesting and enjoyable.
View on GoogleThe worst afternoon tea ever. I used to love Imperial Hotel since when I was little. The lack of sincerity in their hospitality, walking style, and attitude is evident. Also, customer manners have changed. The sandwich’s bread were dry and potato salad tasted like something you would buy at a supermarket. Sandwich had potato and salad had pumpkin and both mixed up with cream... so the texture was same. The cake sponge was also dry and the cheesecake tastes so old that I couldn't eat it. My stomach hurts and tired when I left the hotel. I can't believe that the great people who eat this food enjoy this menu. Time has changed. I wish Mr. Kato still works in this hotel and made the best cakes.
View on GoogleThis space is very beautiful and spacious and it is usually very easy to get a table not too close to another. It is good for a casual business lunch or afternoon tea. I had afternoon tea set here about 4000 yen and it was very good. Everything on the set was very delicious and we were very comfortable eating here. The only downside with this area, as with all Domestic Japanese hotels, is the lack of English. I was with my Japanese friend so of course we had no trouble but on your own, I can see it being a bit of a nightmare. Other than that, yeah the food here is of course overpriced but you can enjoy a fancy setting and great service if you want to impress someone.
