Terrace seating with a direct view of the dazzling night scenery woven by Otemachi's skyscrapers. During the day, soft sunlight pours down, and even though you're in the heart of the city, you'll be enveloped in an overwhelming sense of openness. In this pleasant open-air space, you can savor carefully selected "Tamba Akadori" chicken. Because of its short rearing period of about 65 days, it is characterized by a tender, delicate umami. Starting with our popular classic yakitori, we bring out its full appeal through a variety of cooking methods.

Stone~roasted Oyako-donburi Chicken and egg heated in a stone pot Hot and yummy! There is a kind of seasoning such as curry powder, salted seaweed (kombu) and specialty soy sauce that make it better.

Torinoya Honten, a 2-minute walk from Tokyo Station's Nihonbashi Exit, on the 1st floor of TOKYO TORCH Tokiwabashi Tower. I ordered the oyakodon for lunch. Looking at the price alone, 1,200 yen (excl. tax), it seems like a normal range for a downtown office district, but once I ate the bowl that came out, I understood. What surprised me was how tender the chicken was. The fairly large-cut chicken was cooked so perfectly it came apart without needing a knife; one bite and I thought, so this is what "Tamba Akadori" can do. Tamba Akadori is apparently a brand chicken of a relatively new breed born in 2020, a jidori raised with an eye to balancing chewiness, sweetness, and juiciness. Fluffy, silky egg gently wraps it, and when it sits on the rice, it all comes together perfectly. The egg's soft-cooked doneness is just right too, blending smoothly into the rice. The lunch menu has plenty of variety too. Besides oyakodon, there's the chicken nanban set meal, karaage set meal, grilled chicken with tororo and soft-boiled egg rice box, and more, making it easy to choose based on your mood that day. Even though it's all chicken, they vary the cooking methods so you don't get bored. Its true strength at night is probably the lava-grilled yakitori and chicken sashimi, a lineup you can't get at lunch. If you like it at lunch, coming back at night to properly enjoy Tamba Akadori as yakitori might be the right way to use this place. There's also outdoor terrace seating, and being able to drink while gazing at Otemachi's night view is ◎.

When I feel like having lunch in Otemachi, I often come to this restaurant. Since it's "Torinoya," they offer several chicken dishes, so many that it's hard to choose. I visit about 3 times a year, and the lunch menu seems to change often. The chicken hitsumabushi set meal they used to have was delicious. This time I ordered the chicken shogayaki (ginger) set meal, which I'd never seen before. Large rice is free, for a total of 1,320 yen, and it was very tasty; including the small side dishes, it was very filling and satisfied my lunchtime hunger that day. It's right in front of "Tokyo Torch," which is sure to become a famous landmark; it's still under construction, but there's outdoor terrace seating where you can see it and the atmosphere is nice, so I'm thinking of using it at night with colleagues too.

About 5 minutes' walk from Tokyo Yaesu Exit. From Otemachi, there's an exit directly connected to the building, so it's easy to get there even in bad weather. Since it's an office district, we could eat in peace on the weekend. There were 4 of us, so we made a reservation just in case. ◆ Lunch gozen where you can choose your main dish, comes with an after-meal café drink + dessert 【Lunch Set】(¥1,870) So grateful they're open on weekends too! It was also nice that besides karaage there were 4-5 options like oyakodon and chicken nanban. Drinks included green tea, coffee, black tea, and juices, so I was satisfied. I went with yuzu soda. Lots of rice too, so I was really full. It was delicious, thank you for the meal!
