I was initially a little worried about visiting, as the restaurant mentioned a preference for Japanese-speaking guests. Being alone and only understanding a bit, I wasn’t sure if I would fit in. But that concern turned out to be completely unfounded. The chef was warm and welcoming, and despite my limitations, I was able to follow along and enjoy the interaction. The atmosphere also surprised me—instead of being overly formal or strict, it felt relaxed and natural. The local guests were casually chatting and enjoying their drinks, which made it easy to settle in and feel comfortable. The chef was fun and engaging, adding a personal touch throughout the meal that made the experience even more enjoyable. As for the sushi course, it was excellent. Each piece was thoughtfully prepared, and the overall flow of the omakase felt well-paced and satisfying. I opted for the all-you-can-drink option, which was absolutely worth it. The staff were attentive and quick to take drink orders, making it feel like a genuinely generous offering. Overall, a wonderful omakase experience that feels welcoming, relaxed, and high quality
View on GoogleReserved through tablelog; an excellent omakase experience from master kuroda. Though the staffs English is limited they did an excellent job trying to ensure with us. They foster a lively atmosphere, as there was lots of laughter and engagement all around the counter. The unlimited drinks and wakame seaweed and ginger was also a nice touch. They give you the option to add a few special courses to the meal which we accepted. The price of the meal was well worth what we got. All the sushi was delicious and prepared with care. A few unique dishes were also included such as the abalone, and the mixed fish roll to close the meal.
View on GoogleThis place was amazing. We had a great dinning experience. Reservation needed. Very attentive staff with pre-selected menu. Each item was carefully selected and presented so beautifully. It was delicious and one of my favorite meals in Tokyo. Amazing sake, wine, and beer selection.
View on GoogleThe most incredible, intimate and generous omasake experience. Away from tourist crowds, this deep and incomparable journey showcased with brilliance and emotion the heavenly mandate of Japanese cuisine. An unforgettable experience that will remain with us for decades to come. Thank you, deeply to Naoki Kuroda and the SushiYu Haruka family for this deeply moving journey.
