I had a chestnut tart. It wasn’t too sweet and a right balance of texture! I’d recommend you to go there around 12 pm so that you can choose from 10-12 kinds of tart. The popular ones are sold out by 2-3pm.
View on GoogleI tried the fruit tart and loved it! It’s a cozy place, take out only.
View on GoogleBest tart shop in Tokyo! Fresh fruit, Blueberry and Apple caramel tart are my favs:D They sell out pretty quickly so be there early or call if you want a specific cake.

View on GoogleStyles Cakes & Company, a tart specialty shop that has long been popular in Jimbocho. I've visited all kinds of tart specialty shops, but honestly, personally, I still haven't found a tart that surpasses this place's. The display case is filled with seasonal fruit tarts and baked tarts, and part of the appeal is how the selection changes with every visit. They also offer limited-edition cakes for occasions like Christmas and Valentine's Day, so throughout the year there's always the excitement of wondering, “What will they have next?” When you actually try them, the tarts made with fresh fruit are, of course, delicious too. The balance between the fruit's acidity and juiciness and the fragrant tart crust is very good, and the quality of the ingredients really comes through. But personally, the baked tarts impressed me most. The baked appareil (the batter portion) is truly exceptionally well made. Particularly memorable is the deep richness of the appareil made with black sugar. It's not simply sweet; there's a distinctive toasted aroma and lingering finish from the black sugar, and baking seems to concentrate the flavor even further. Rather than flashiness, it feels like they satisfy through layers of ingredients, baking, and aroma. Together with the calm atmosphere inside, this shop really suits the neighborhood of Jimbocho. It's a place I want to keep visiting for years to come, looking forward to each season's cakes.
