そば処 十月屋Soba Tokoro Jugatsu Ya
This is the soba restaurant 「十月屋」, a 2-minute walk from Exit B3b of Shin-Ochanomizu Station. For lunch, we serve hearty soba, freshly fried tempura, and seasonal creative soba. For dinner, we of course have alcoholic drinks, including Japanese sake, so please drop by for a drink after work! We have both table and counter seating, so we're great for everything from drinking solo to group meals. We're within walking distance of Ogawamachi, Ochanomizu, and Awajicho, and we look forward to your visit.

A weekday evening in late October 2025. I needed to grab a quick dinner, so I stopped by. The noodles are similar to the ones at soba shops you often find inside train stations. The broth and toppings are thoughtfully done—nice! It uses a meal-ticket system, and at night it seems to have lots of regulars who are mainly there to drink, so it's a style of shop you don't see often. I'd like to try it as an evening drinking spot someday. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleI wanted soba, so I searched and found the soba shop 十月屋 near Ochanomizu. Visited at lunchtime on a weekday. ・Meal-ticket system, served by an energetic lady. ・Ordered the mori soba and mini katsudon set. ・The soba was, well… like the pricey dried soba you buy at the supermarket. There was no zaru mat underneath, so the bottom was soggy with water. But the dipping sauce was a sweet-forward dashi with a flavor I'd never had before. That was surprisingly good. ・The katsudon was awful… 80% of the thickness was coating, and the meat (as thin as bacon) didn't feel like eating meat at all. ・The cold buckwheat tea was delicious. Tokyo is a fiercely competitive soba battleground; the lady's pleasant service alone probably won't bring me back… Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleRecommended for both lunch and as an izakaya. Day or night, you can eat your fill at reasonable prices! Especially as an izakaya—the snack menu is priced around one coin, yet they pile on so much that I worry if they're okay. The taste is really good too! You can finish off with delicious soba, so no need for a second stop! I think it's No.1 for value among izakaya around here! Let's drink lots!!
View on GoogleA soba izakaya that's open late. Both the soba and the snacks were tasty—great value for money (*´꒳`*)
View on GoogleI had the kakiage soba. Along with the aroma of dashi, you can taste ginger too—it's a fairly light broth. The kakiage was freshly fried, with onion and carrot, and quite large. There's a good amount of noodles for the price too, so I think it's really good value.
