Actually really good food for a museum - in contrast to most places in England. Menus in English can be acquired from the staff; also there is free WiFi There was very little wait time, despite the restaurant being quite busy. I would definitely recommend the dessert.
View on GoogleWe ordered lots of things from navy style curry. yakisoba koroke shaved ice a little too sweet soft cone ice cream all was good. I want to come back absorb this serene atmosphere and eat koroke yakisoba and shaved ice with a little less syrup. And cheap. What I spent on 4 people in some other restaurant that’s what I paid for myself only. Loved the place.
View on GoogleOrdered a desert dish and waited half an hour, noticing others came in and receiving their orders after us. Turns out my order was forgotten after 40 mins. Sorry but any place forgetting my order gets an automatic 1 star.
View on GoogleAfter visiting Yasukuni Shrine, I had lunch at 'Saryou YUI' inside the Yūshūkan😊 This shop has full glass windows that give a sense of openness, and it's a quiet and very relaxing space. I'm happy that they have a wide selection from hearty meal menus to dessert menus like shaved ice! ✼••┈What I ate┈••✼ ▷Navy Katsu Curry (with salad & iced coffee) ¥1650 ▷Kakiage Udon (cold) with Inari ¥1000 ▷Sansai Udon (hot) ¥900 ✼••┈Notes┈••✼ The Navy Katsu Curry is said to reproduce a recipe from the Meiji era. It has a rich, gentle taste that feels nostalgic somehow. It goes perfectly with the crispy katsu, and it was a very satisfying dish. The cold kakiage udon is a smooth, easy-to-swallow cold udon that's perfect for a hot day. The thick, crispy kakiage soaks into the broth and is delicious♡ Sweet inari is also included, and I was full. The hot sansai udon is a hot udon with a gentle broth that soaks into your body. It's topped with plenty of crunchy mountain vegetables, and it was a comforting bowl😊 2026/06 ✼••┈┈••✼••┈┈••✼••┈┈••✼
View on GoogleNavy Katsu Curry. I stopped by when visiting Yasukuni Shrine. I was looking forward to it because they reproduce the curry recipe from that time. The staff's service also left a good impression, and I enjoyed the Navy Katsu Curry very much. My impression was that it was a delicious sweet curry. Next time I want to try the sweets. Up to the entrance of the shop, there are many things to see such as the C-type locomotive.
