A coffee shop in central Jimbocho where you can smoke The food selection is limited, but there are weekly changing desserts. With no background music, it is recommended for anyone who wants to spend quiet time with just cigarettes and coffee. Even talking would probably be a disturbance, so it is a place for solo visitors. A retro interior with character. The chairs are too small for a long stay. Definitely a coffee shop to stop into when you want a quick break with cigarettes and coffee
View on GoogleA classic street-facing coffee shop on the 1F of Tokyo Park Tower, where exit A9 at the southern end of Jimbocho Station is located.(Next to Royal Host.) The interior is atmospheric too, with small antique-style tables and chairs and red velvet. There is not a speck of dust inside; it is meticulously cleaned, which leaves a good impression. A rare place these days that allows smoking, carrying on Jimbocho's old coffee shop culture. There are technically nonsmoking seats, but in an interior of about 8 tatami mats? they are only slightly separated, so it does not mean much beyond nobody smoking right beside you. The menu is simple: mostly coffee, plus black tea, cocoa, and just toast. There are 2 blends and 5 single-origin coffees from well-known places in Central and South America, Indonesia, and Tanzania. This time I had the standard house blend. It has a sweet aroma, and on the palate a clear, melting honey-like sweetness with a gentle citrus acidity. A carefully prepared, clean-tasting coffee. Very easy to drink black, with enough sweetness to seem lightly sugared, offsetting the bitterness. The beans are not particularly premium, but it is the skill of roasting and brewing. Really delicious. So if you want to savor coffee in a good old-fashioned coffee shop, this place simply embodies that and is recommended.
View on GoogleA quiet place. The horizontal carved wooden sign, the door made of vertical pieces of wood, the wooden chair designs, and the antique decorations hanging from the ceiling are interesting. A coffee shop for adults. When I happened to visit, there was just one person smoking.

View on Google■Location On the 1st floor of a building a little south of Jimbocho subway station, after turning at the corner of Gakushi Kaikan. The frontage is very narrow, so you might accidentally walk past. ■Atmosphere It has a very Showa-era atmosphere. It is also very clean. Perhaps because it was the Christmas season, there were Christmas ornaments on every table. An elegant elderly lady serves you. I am happy that smoking is allowed♪ The wooden chairs are also a must-see.
