The shop name is 'Ryu Ken Ramen'. The shop might be tiny and have a strange smell, but the ramen is so good it makes you forget everything else. This place has the most delicious Shoyu Ramen I've ever tasted. I've been here before in 2019. The owner was kind enough to write the name 'Ryu Ken Ramen' in Japanese for me. The Shoyu Ramen left an unforgettable impression with its amazing taste and huge portions. I always told myself that if I ever returned to Japan, I would definitely come back here.
View on GoogleMenu has no English, but every item has a picture so it is easy to order. Very generous pricing for where this place is located, and the ramen is less oily than most places nearby, so you won't feel too gross after eating it. The chashu ramen has pretty thick cuts, and the amount of soup is always just enough. I'd consider this place a gem in Akihabara, just don't expect super flashy ramen, it is more of a home cooked type dish.
View on GoogleA very quiet Ramen place hidden in a small alley in Akihabara. The staff was very kind and spoke to us in English. The Menu is all in Japanese but the pictures helped a lot. The ramen are also available in different serving sizes. A very good find.
View on GoogleOld style simple ramen restaurant. It has limited seats and set up is old style. Ramen was good. Not oily kind which we like. It is cooked upon ordering but does not take too long as there were not much customers at that time. Looks like family owned business. It is within an unnoticeable alley.
View on GoogleVery small spot hidden in the streets of akihabara. Lots to choose from, with different sizes. Took the classic simple tonkotsu, was not disappointed. Full flavour broth, but not too heavy, fresh chewy noodles, just about enough of toppings. The owner/chef was very outgoing and had a nice talk even though there was a language barrier. Left very satisfied.
