A very tasty South Indian restaurant! The Gobi (Cauliflower) with Garlic Sauce, was a hit. Roasted cauliflower and then fried with a thin batter and a mild and elegant tasty garlic sauce was very well prepared. The recommended Chicken 65 Biryani came with large pieces of spiced and herbed chicken. I thought the chicken tasted better than the biryani rice. The biryani sauce infused rice was a bit too mild and lacked a herb and sauce punch I more enjoy. Also the basamati rice was a bit too soft for me. The Chettinad Mutton Curry was also quite good and the after taste was nice. The herb and spice, here again for me were a bit mild. A bit reduced to better meet Japanese taste buds??? I saw reviews saying too spicy. Maybe should give spice level options. But, one of the better, so far for me the best South Indian in Tokyo. Maybe expected too much after all the great reviews.
View on GoogleIf you are looking for authentic South Indian flavors, Rusi is worth every yen. You can tell they use high-quality spices because every dish has its own signature taste. The mutton biryani is easily the highlight of the menu. It’s a hidden gem that I’ll definitely be returning to. Highly recommend!
View on GoogleSince we were a group of thirty people there was some noise. Service was good. Crowd management was good. The buttermilk was the best. Though we had dosa with south indian chutney and sambar, taste was not great though presentation was good. Green leafy Salad was good.
View on GoogleBest place to go for indian cuisine (south indian included!) The vibe itself is lovely and the staff friendly as well. If you’re a vegetarian or wanna try Indian food, this can be a great option. Additionally, the space is also a bonus. 😊😊
View on GoogleDelicious Dosa and Biriyani . A bit on the spicier side , the mutton curry had zero to no salt. Nice ambience, dosa was to die for. Sambar tasted more like dal. Avoid going between 11:45-12:45. Too crowded
