Toei Subway Shinjuku Line, Mita Line, Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line A little over roughly 5 minutes on foot from exit A5 of " 神保町駅 " Turn into an alley from 靖国通り (prefectural road 302), and on the right is a shop that operates at night as the kushikatsu izakaya " はなび " and serves udon at lunch as 麺匠大宮 It doesn't advertise itself as Sanuki udon by genre, but apparently the owner trained at a Sanuki udon shop in 香川 From the menu lineup, I personally consider it a creative udon shop 神保町 has the legendary shop " 丸香 " So this place isn't especially well known in the area, but among 東京 udon lovers and office workers nearby, it's a well-known udon shop👍 Incidentally, the service here is good➰ Large and extra-large portions are free Small is about 300g, regular about 400g (even regular is a huge amount) Large is about 500g, extra-large about 600g If you order hot udon in dashi broth, you're handed a bowl with just noodles, but they haven't forgotten the soup On another table are condiments (scallions, tempura crumbs, ginger, etc...) that you can add freely, and beside them is a large pot? of dashi broth, which you pour yourself ◆Cold broth udon (460円), chicken tempura (130円) The noodles are medium-thick, straight, with sharply defined edges I don't know the brand, but they use 100% wheat from 北海道, and apparently carefully selected, mineral-rich salt is kneaded into the dough➰ Homemade noodles with three kinds of freshness: freshly made, freshly cut, freshly boiled They aren't especially firm, but the wheat flavor is concentrated, or rather they feel dense, and have good springiness too The broth seems carefully drawn from dried sardines and ma-kombu from 北海道, and is slightly on the strong side Overall, well-balanced udon that's quite delicious😋 One of the seven mysteries of 神保町's fiercely competitive udon area? For some reason, this udon shop has long offered kaedama, the extra noodles usually seen at Hakata ramen shops Whaaat・・・ Kaedama for udon? That's what I thought, but it may be a welcome service for hungry people There's a Yokohama Iekei ramen shop, " 鬼道家 ", in 勾当台公園 I'm a 鬼道家 fan; it's a direct branch of 王道家 that I like, and I visit 1 time a month or when going to 仙台 for work I was taken aback that 鬼道家 also has kaedama, but for some reason quite a few customers order it, which surprised me a little (haha) Has the era of kaedama for Iekei and udon arrived Thank you for the meal(*・ω・)ノ

While suddenly looking for somewhere to drink in 神保町, I visited this place, which is an udon shop by day and an izakaya by night. It's a 6.7-minute walk from 神保町, but also within reach of 小川町 and 新御茶ノ水, so access is good. It was crowded inside, partly because it was Friday. There was a decent selection of drinks, including shochu and sake, which was good. All the food was neither good nor bad; being an udon shop after all, the yaki udon I ordered at the end was the tastiest. I'll visit again when I'm nearby. Looking forward to next time

It's always bustling with customers both day and night, and that popularity speaks to the reliability of its flavor. Starting with its signature udon, every menu item has solid umami and balanced seasoning, making it delicious enough to want to eat again and again. Everything makes you exclaim, "This flavor and this much food for this price?" The interior is lively yet clean, with a comfortable atmosphere. The staff are always cheerful and serve you with smiles, so it's a shop that gives you not just food, but energy too! Quick responses and pleasant service are also appealing, making this a highly satisfying place. When I think of eating udon, it's the first shop that comes to mind.

The udon was incredibly thick and firm, to a level that might surpass Sanuki udon! Extremely reasonably priced, and the chrysanthemum-green tempura and small-shrimp kakiage had little batter and plenty of ingredients! #神保町#御茶ノ水#小川町#淡路町 #izakaya#udon Tare katsudon set, mini cold udon, half rice Chrysanthemum-green tempura, small-shrimp kakiage #lunch
