Visited as our second stop. It felt a little expensive. The 島らっきょう had lots of bonito flakes on top. It was nice that the beer mug was ice-cold.
View on GoogleA fairly average Okinawan restaurant. I've visited a fair number of Okinawan restaurants around Japan, but this one isn't particularly cheap, exceptionally delicious, or good in terms of service. Customer service in 東京 really disappoints often, so it's best not to expect much. Still, I do think the food was reasonably tasty. Maybe I should be grateful just to be able to have Okinawan food here in the first place. Thank you. They also have some slightly unusual things, like aloe sashimi, which was interesting. I'm grateful they accommodated our small group. There don't seem to be any particularly delicious restaurants nearby, so I wasn't expecting much, but well, that's how it is.
View on GoogleThe glass provided when I ordered bottled beer was a rocks glass for shochu (aged liquor), and it was warm, perhaps freshly washed; when I poured in the beer, the foam vanished instantly… The ミミガー was only 2 or 3 mouthfuls, yet cost 1000円… The standalone ソーキ was ordinary. When I went in summer, the air conditioning was weak and it was hot… All of that totaled 3750円. Working backward, the otoshi charge must have been 450円. The otoshi was vegetables steeped in broth and was quite tasty. The balance is strange. I probably won't go again (haha).
View on GoogleAn Okinawan restaurant near 御茶ノ水 Station. There were lots of Okinawan dishes, and the food was quite tasty. Personally, it didn't leave much of an impression. Smoking is allowed in a balcony-like area. You can't smoke at your seat.
View on GoogleHaving まもるくん定食 at おきなわ軒 in 御茶ノ水. An alcohol-free dinner before a jazz performance. It's a set of half portions of ゴーヤチャンプル, 沖縄そば, and rice. Everything was delicious, with light seasoning and portions. Apparently まもるくん is the name of a police-officer figure on 宮古島, by the way (haha).
