An izakaya on the 2nd floor of a building full of restaurants on a back street not far from 飯田橋駅. A large sign outside drew me in. The interior wasn't very spacious; large windows gave it an open feel, while the tables were packed tightly together like miniature booth seats. A calm staff member showed me to my seat. The menu had all sorts of dishes, mainly おでん and grilled skewers, as well as fried and simmered dishes. I ordered 【牛肉コロッケ】450円【やきとり つくね・ネギマ】120円 each × 2 skewers【おでん がんも・大根・玉子・くるまふ・したたき】120円 each+drinks. The appetizer arrived right away. It was macaroni salad dressed in a rather runny mayonnaise, with a refreshing tang that made it pleasant to eat. What surprised me about the skewers was the ネギマ: the leek pieces were thick and large compared with the chicken, making the portion look almost overflowing. But they were thoroughly cooked, moist and sweet, and surprisingly well balanced with the chicken. The おでん took quite a while, but the stock had soaked thoroughly into the ingredients. The daikon was tender and full of savory broth, and the 車麩 was simmered until falling-apart soft. Overall, I was impressed by the おでん. The season may have had something to do with it, but おでん still tasted delicious. Smoking is allowed at every seat, but there were few customers early on, so I had a comfortable time without noticing any cigarette smoke. Above all, the affordable prices per item meant I could eat and drink without worrying. I'd like to return for more delicious おでん.

Surely an oasis for office workers! Every food item is better than your average home cooking, and the sake and shochu selection is really good! The yakisoba tastes great and is packed with vegetables, so the nutritional balance must be excellent! Plus, 八海山 was 300円 that day, though limited to 1 glass! Being open until 4 a.m. is convenient too! #飯田橋 #居酒屋 #あさりバター #アジの開き #具だくさん焼きそば #鶴齢#八海山 #レモンサワー

The beer mug was chilled ice-cold, probably among the top 1 or 2 coldest I've ever had, making for a wonderfully refreshing drink. The food was served quickly too, which was reassuring. Above all, the drinks are cheap. The おでん was incredibly delicious as well. But the place is extremely cramped. Especially if you're well built, it feels like squeezing through gaps. I went in after seeing the おでん on the sign outside, but the location is hard to find. I think it's great for a quick drink.

Visited around 19:30 on Wednesday. We got in without a reservation. The interior is cramped. The appetizer isn't particularly tasty either, but the wide selection of alcohol is a plus. They have several local sakes from 三重, though some apparently run out of stock.

The interior is quite cramped, especially the extremely limited legroom under the tables. Also, the staff take a while to come even when called. The sake selection is pretty good.
