Very impolite and rude staff, they asked us leave and got away the menu after knowing that we only know a bit Japanese. After they brought us to seat and gave us menu, we tried to google translate the japanese menu into english. They blamed us using google translate and got back the menu immediately. They then said all food were sold out and asked us to leave. Very impolite and disappointed.

Lunch is very reasonable at 1,600 yen, yet the volume and quality are astonishing. The dishes change every day, so one of the joys is discovering something new and delicious no matter how many times you visit. Every side dish is based on Yamagata local cuisine, and you can tell each one is carefully made—it's all "everything's delicious" food, and I was truly moved when I found this place. Even better, rice refills are free. The appeal is that you can enjoy it with delicious side dishes until you're full and completely satisfied. This level of satisfaction at this price is truly rare in the Hanzomon area. It's the kind of lovely restaurant you want to keep as your own secret, yet also want to tell someone about.
