My days, this was delicious. Tucked in the B1 floor of an otherwise normal building, this hidden gems awaits its hungry customers. But you better get there early for lunch! The place was already full 15 minutes before opening time, and the queue just grew in length after that. Luckily enough, I only waited about 15 minutes. Today, I decided to try the set menu. The kind lady working there explained to me how to eat with the sauce, daikon and salt. The tempura was served 1 by 1, alongside with a platter containing rice, a miso soup and some pickles. In total, 3 sorts of vegetables, 2 shrimps, 1 fish and 1 squid tempura were served. For a mere 1700 yen, I think it is a steal. The table next to me ordered the anago-don and it looked so delicious that I promised myself to come back. I left the place feeling very satisfied. Thank you for the delicious meal!
View on GoogleAbsolutely loved the sea eel tendon there! The sea eel was crispy on the outside, juicy and fluffy on the inside. Paired with the perilla leaves and the rice, it was so flavorful. They also offer different tempura set menus. This place is a bit hidden, tucked down in the basement level of a building. We went at lunch and waited for about 20 minutes, but it was totally worth it. Also the staff was very friendly and attentive.
View on GoogleThis was my first adventure to a tempura restaurant. In the past tempura has been a part of my meal as opposed to all the meal. I forgot which sauce to use for what and it diminished the taste. The owner helped us as did a neighboring diner. Had I gotten the sauce right, I believe I would have loved the meal. Instead I only enjoyed it.
View on GoogleThe sea eel (unagi) tempura was the special dish we ordered here. The price is reasonable (1,400 Yen) . The tempura special set is less- worth your money (1,800 yen) but portion is relatively generous.
View on GoogleVery nice tempura! Fresh, lightly salted, crunchy yet you can still taste the goodness of fresh ingredients inside a thin layer of deep fried batter.
