A long-awaited new concept is born from HUGE's Mexican group, which has been introducing a new Mexican food culture! The concept of this new format is "Taquería". A taquería means a restaurant centered on enjoying tacos. HUGE unpacks the taquería culture developed in America by immigrants from Mexico and South America, and expresses it in a new way. It's a restaurant where you can fully enjoy the unique taquería culture, a mix of modern and traditional, developed on the American West Coast in places like LA. "Make tacos part of everyday life! More familiar, and more fun!" We'll be spreading a new food culture and style from Marunouchi. Centered on tacos you can enjoy in a variety of styles…

Was in the Tokyo Station area and looking for a quick lunch and found this excellent Mexican restaurant in the shin-marunouchi building. It was exactly what we wanted. The food was authentic and tasty and the drinks refreshing. My favourite was the mushroom

The food is pretty good, its not as good compared to what I’ve had in Canada, the US, and obviously Mexico. But it still was good. Sitting outside was my highlight, the view was amazing!

I’m Mexican so I know a bit of Mexican food, but I live in Japan so I know what to expect. The good: location is great just a block or two away from Tokyo station. Nice window looking out the city. High roof makes it feel spacious and well lit. Prices are good. They have pacífico and modelo beers which was nice. I went there for lunch so the menu was small but well priced. When visiting a Mexican restaurant I always ask jokingly/not jokingly “where’s the Mexican?” but unfortunately there were none. I was informed some the staff at the kitchen were foreigners but not Mexican. No big deal, everyone can learn how to cook. The not so good: the food (important for a restaurant) 3 people in my party ordered the birria tacos/ramen special. Not even one person finished their plate (14-year-old hungry boys included). I took a look at the tacos and out of the 3 ingredients (tortilla, birria, cheese) the only apparent one was the tortilla. I have never seen a smaller amount of birria in a birria taco. It was almost invisible even with the cheese being super scarce too. Meat tacos were decent my friend said. Cobb salad and jambalaya were ok. The seafood in the seafood Jambalaya was almost non existent. Cobb salad came at the very end for some reason. The orders, even drinks would take 30 minutes or more to arrive at the table. No “homemade” salsa on the table. No chips. One of the staff members (must have been a manager or supervisor as he was working payments too) looked so tired/fed up. It’s not a bad place per se but unfortunately nothing to write home about.

For the portion, I would say the taco was pricey. It was nice to try it though and Mexican beer. I’m not too sure about the loudness because I was alone but I could hear chatter all over, especially from the next table. They were rather loud. I was seated there and would have wanted to be seated elsewhere but they didn’t give me a choice.

It’s pretty good Mexican food with good portion, you can definitely get full with. Lunch menu is reasonable price but the alcohol drinks are little bit pricey. The service is okay but it depends on the person, we encountered both very helpful and nice service as well as cold one in this place.
