I’m genuinely very impressed. Service was top notch. Lots of dining seats available. Many office workers come here for lunch. The chicken in the oyakodon has a “charcoal” grilled taste (hence the name) so you may not like that burnt-esque taste if you’re not used to it. Chicken sashimi (tatami) was delicious. Miso soup nice and salty. Thank you for the meal. Total for everything in the photo was 1650 yen. Counter seating and tables available.
View on GoogleLocation: B1, "Tokyo building TOKIA" I don't know why the ratings are so low, everything was awesome. The atmosphere was very spacious and felt luxurious, and prices were reasonable for the special "jidori" chicken, we tried lots of dishes and spent ~4500 yen between 2x people. The Kaguratori thigh sumibiyaki (1900 yen) serving looked small at first, but once you're eating it's actually quite a lot since the chicken is so rich. I had a similar feeling to eating wagyu after the meal; super satisfied after a small portion and needing water :p The oyakodon looked concerningly red, but turns out the egg yolk is just very red! It tasted good, but personally I'm not a fan of raw egg white. Definitely try the charcoal skewers if you're here, we only ordered the chicken livers and they were the best! Super super tender. I'd come back just for the liver skewers. The chicken noodle was quite plain, you can skip it. The broth was mainly salty, though the chicken meatballs were good - probably even better as a skewer. We visited on a Sunday evening with no reservation, the nearby restaurants all had huge lines but this one was surprisingly half empty. We saw mainly Japanese people dining here. Note: They've got an English/Chinese/Korean menu :)
View on GoogleThe meat is too tough for my liking. I don't know how to appreciate this. Let's just say I will not allow my boy to choose the place to eat after this.
View on GoogleExcellent food and service. The chicken is of the highest quality and prepared perfectly. The staff is very knowledgeable about every single aspect of each dish, from how the chix are raised to the way they are prepared and served. Great the comparison between young chicken and older hen where you can flavor the difference in texture and taste. Highly recommended if in the area.
View on GoogleOrdered the chicken soup, chicken and leek skewers, hot tofu, and pickled cucumber. Everything was delicious and we were given English menu to help. The pickled cucumber was especially tasty
