I fell in love with this place from the moment I saw the entrance. It has that classic vibe with red brick walls, and the interior felt like a much more high-end version of the Park No-soo Museum in Seoul. It’s the kind of museum that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time, perfectly preserving modern architectural styles and premium materials. The artwork inside was quintessentially Japanese, and I could really feel the pulse of Japan’s early modern history through the paintings. Since I’m a big history buff, I’ve read a lot about the Meiji Restoration and the roles of different domains like Choshu. Even though that period was a painful chapter for Korea, I could see why people back then would’ve felt that rush of excitement about modernization—much like how I feel pumped seeing how far Korea has come today. Anyway, it was an incredibly impressive place and totally my style. -BOFF

Really nice little art museum situated among the tall modern glass buildings of the Marunouchi district, with a lovely green courtyard out front. Shows special exhibitions that are well put together and the staff are super nice.

been frequenting this museum for 15 years. they have very unique exhibitions, and the curation and layout are excellent. please read their website for the information of the exhibition before coming, because unlike others, they don’t have permanent exhibitions, and you should make sure the current exhibition suits your taste.
