A hidden gem right next to Tokyo station! We wanted a quick bite the last night in Tokyo and enjoyed a cocktail on the rooftop terrace first and after that some dinner in one of the restaurants. It was quite calm and it felt like not a lot of tourists know how to find this place. There are different restaurants and bars all in one place, you can either choose to eat at the restaurant or take your drink/food with you to the terrace.

It’s probably not a hidden gem but that’s how it felt to me. Wandering around the Marunouchi part of Tokyo station I decided to keep going up the escalators. I’m glad I did. The (marunouchi)HOUSE is the whole top floor that’s not office space. It’s sort of like an elevated food court with both indoor and outdoor seating. You can get food from any of the restaurants and eat outside. You can even order via LINE if you can figure out the Japanese. The outdoor seating looking out on the station is simply breathtaking, the other side you can see the imperial gardens and watch the sun set. I tried a cocktail from the Hawaiian spot and some soba from the soba spot around the corner. Both were quite expensive and OK. It’s really about the atmosphere. First time I arrived around 1pm and there were tons of seats. Later in the evening it starts to fill up and get quite busy. I recommend coming during the workweek and enjoy a respite from the crowds. 10/10 would recommend.

They have amazing food. Only downside is its mostly pork based. Would be good if they had more chicken options. There was also a table charge of 400 per person.

Great vibe. Good food. Reasonable prices. The staff is kind and friendly. Must visit if you are in Marunouchi and want to have a nice drink with music and a nice view.

Really cool concept on the 7th floor of the Shin Marunouchi building opposite Tokyo station. There are a number of restaurants on the floor that are linked to a mobile ordering service. You'll need to LINE app and use their QR code. They had a 500 yen off per order promo going on so we decided to try it. We opted for Mexican at Mole and Western at NY Bistro. The mobile ordering unfortunately isn't available in English but it's possible to work through and make an order and be notified on LINE when ready. Our order came through really quick. Food was okay, a little pricey for what it is (the 500 yen promo made it more worthwhile). It was a little warm the day we went but if you come early, there's plenty of options to sit around and enjoy the views around this part of Tokyo. Very enjoyable and recommended if you're with a group of friends, wanting to enjoy the atmosphere over drinks and some food. You can also just sit inside at any of the restaurants. The whole area gets crowded during dinner time (as you'd expect).
