The inorganic, soaring skyscrapers of Otemachi cast their shadows, standing in stark contrast to the vibrant, verdant greens of the garden that unfolds within the brasserie. This duality of scenery is mirrored perfectly in the rotisserie chicken served on the plate. The golden-hued skin is as elegantly rigid as the city's architecture. The crisp, dry sound that resonates the moment the knife touches it evokes the refined tension of the urban landscape. Yet, beneath this thin, fragile boundary lies a rich, overflowing vitality—a spring of succulent, juicy meat. The "rigidity" of the exterior and the "suppleness" of the interior: this contrast is the very structure of the city's frantic pace against the quiet respite this restaurant provides. Breaking through that crisp skin to reach the fountain-like juices feels like a ritual of uncovering the essential moisture hidden within the urban din. As I step back out and look at the city, the scenery appears slightly more vivid than before—surely, a sign that my senses have been unburdened by such perfect contrast.
View on GoogleThe food was delightful. We stopped for a drink, but decided to have lunch. A bit concerned that we had committed to 5 courses in the middle of the day, but each serve was so well presented and delightful to the palate. Our waitress was an absolute delight, and we hope she gets to visit Australia soon.
View on GoogleThey recommend the rotisserie chicken at this restaurant. This time, I ordered the rotisserie chicken course for lunch. The chicken is grilled to perfection and seasoned to your liking with four different condiments. The pumpkin potage is also very rich. For dessert, you can choose from four kinds of desserts. The after-dinner drink was also included, and I was very satisfied with the meal. The portion is large enough to satisfy even men. The restaurant is located right in front of the Imperial Palace, so you may want to take a little detour and take a walk home for some exercise after your meal.
View on GoogleIt seems as though the rotisserie chicken is the thing to get, so I’ll try that another time, but I can for the basque cheesecake. You can take away as well, but this time I ate in because the place was not crowded. The cheesecake was excellent, with a very soft and creamy texture. Worth coming back to eat it again. The service was fast and friendly too.
