Stunning French neigbourhood restaurant. Incredible oysters, white asparagus, braised cheek(beef). I will be back. Wine selection looks good too.

View on GoogleCozy French Restaurant! Good value lunch(^^)
View on GoogleI spotted the French flag and wandered in alone to this restaurant with a homey atmosphere. I had the weekday-only 2000円 lunch. At this price it even includes a little dessert ← so delicious! + a drink, and the main-course fish was wonderfully crispy. I found myself hoping this place wouldn’t go out of business.
View on GoogleAfter viewing the cherry blossoms at Chidorigafuchi, I spotted a French flag🇫🇷 while walking and stopped in. The interior is small and feels clean. The lighting is dim, but soft sunlight comes through the windows, giving it a warm atmosphere. Around 12 on a weekday, customers kept arriving until it was full. They seem to accept reservations too. The seats are close together, so you can hear neighboring conversations. The female staff member moved around attentively, taking care of water and bread refills. The male chef also occasionally came out to serve dishes and such. It seems the two of them run the place. After an explanation of the menu, I chose the chef’s-choice C lunch for 3900円. French bread, hors d’oeuvres, a meat-and-fish platter, a dessert assortment, and a drink. C does not include soup. There aren’t many French restaurants around these days, so I appreciate having somewhere relatively accessible like this. The careful plating made me appreciate the meal even more. The hors d’oeuvres were generous and good value, with chicken, olives, salmon roe, and salmon. I savored the sauces too. The main course was pan-seared sea bass and beef braised in red wine, with smooth mashed potatoes. Well-balanced flavors. They also brought more warm, crispy French bread, which I enjoyed with olive oil. Dessert was lavish: their popular cheesecake (rich, creamy, and unbaked), moist chocolate cake, and coconut ice cream topped with kinako. As an ordinary person, I initially felt the C lunch was a little expensive for lunch, but in the end, both the quality and quantity were great value, and I was completely satisfied. I’d order it again next time. Please note that payments under 5000円 are cash only.
