うなぎ久保田Kubota
Grilled freshwater eel, plus a large assortment of sake, at a tranquil venue founded in 1897.
Since its founding in the 30th year of Meiji (1897), Unagi Kubota has been loved by the local people of Kanda Suehirocho, as well as those working in the Kanda Market and Akihabara Electric Town. While preserving the atmosphere of Edo Shitamachi, we continue to make efforts and innovate every day for deliciousness. Across from the shop, we have been running a wholesale business since our founding, so we pay close attention to the quality and freshness of the eels we select. We want our customers to enjoy fresh eel deliciously. Relaxing and feeling happy in a casual atmosphere is Unagi Kubota's wish. 'Doing ordinary things, in an ordinary way' However, 'with all one's heart' That is what Unagi Kubota values. Nearby...

My experience eating unagi here you will receive a gradual stage of each menu served, from pickled vegetables, unagi bones, unagi gizzards, unagi tail parts and after that the middle part or whole meat of the unagi as the main food of the unagi dish. Enjoying this food menu with sake and relatives togetherness can be a very valuable moment. The service at this restaurant is also very friendly. Highly recommended if you are in Chiyoda city and want to enjoy unagi with an authentic taste
View on GoogleFirst time for me eating unagi and wow it was a wonderful experience. The taste was a joy. My Japanese friend with more unagi experience found this unagi also exceptionally delicious. The tuna sashimi in this restaurant is also out of this world. I will miss all the great food in Japan and I was happy that this was my good-bye-japan-dinner. We had no reservation and had to wait roughly 45 minutes for a seat in the evening, but the wait was worth it.
View on GoogleOrdered Kimoyaki and their recommended menu for eels (serve with pickled and soup). Eels is very tender, no bone at all, skin is easily chew and very tasty. No wonder they have been established since 1897.
View on GoogleTheir Unagi was an exceptional dining experience that showcased the true essence of this traditional Japanese dish. The unagi was of remarkably high quality, with each bite delivering a rich, buttery flavor that melted in my mouth. What truly sat it apart was the softness of the eel—expertly grilled to perfection, it had a delicate texture that was both tender and moist, making it a pleasure to eat. Accompanied by perfectly cooked rice and a subtly flavored sauce that enhanced but didn’t overpower the natural taste of the unagi😍
View on Googleeel unagi, eel unagi, eel unagi. Best I had in Tokyo by far. You know you are in for a treat when you enter a small shop off the main road and the place is full of locals. I waited 10mins for a sit which is acceptable given it is lunch peak hour. I was also provided an English menu with photos attached to the end. The special sauce that served separately really lit up the eel. If you are not in a rush and would like to indulge a true local dine in experience, definitely pay a visit to here. Staff is very friendly also.
