Visited on a weekday evening. Got cheap, reasonably tasty yakitori. I thought it was a place for old guys, but surprisingly there were plenty of female customers too. Go in the entrance and up to the 2nd floor, where there are about 6 tables for four and about 5 counter seats. It feels like an old-school, classic yakitori izakaya. The food and drinks we ordered came relatively quickly, with a good pace. The staff were pleasant too. By the time it was past 7 PM, it was nearly full, counter seats included. 202606
View on GoogleA yakitori shop 1 minute on foot from JR Ochanomizu Station. Introducing the oyakodon (regular size) for 880 yen at 古ぢどり屋. There's only one menu item: oyakodon. You order one of 3 sizes: large, regular, or small. I didn't know how big the portions were, so I ordered regular. Most of the men ordered large. The oyakodon arrives in front of you in a fairly large bowl. The lid only does its job for a moment, but having one makes opening it something to look forward to. Even the regular size feels like quite a lot. The egg is soft and runny, so I eat it with a spoon. Not too raw, not too set — the egg is cooked just right. The seasoning isn't too sweet, and the refreshing mitsuba on top is a nice touch. There are plenty of chunky pieces of chicken too, very filling. I didn't mean to wolf it down, but I finished it like I did. Just what you'd expect from a yakitori shop's oyakodon. Delicious! ♯御茶ノ水ランチ ♯御茶ノ水グルメ ♯親子丼 ♯古ぢどり屋
View on GoogleHonestly, this is my No.1 place I don't want to tell anyone about. But I want them to make money, so I'm writing a review. Evening drinks are a bit too reasonably priced. Even though it's this delicious…. Please raise your prices more 😭 The super great-value set plus the sweet and spicy simmered liver — that alone leaves me totally satisfied. It seems to be cash only for both lunch and dinner for the time being. Please help them out 🙏
View on GoogleMarch '26, Friday, around 11:20 Right by Ochanomizu Station. Lunch is cash only The menu is oyakodon only Oyakodon, large, 930 yen The egg is soft, there's a decent amount of chicken, and it's delicious. The large portion of rice is just right. It's not a case of too much rice and nothing else. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleIt's under 1000 yen and tastes good, but the wait and the serving order are fatally bad, so at least for lunch (around the noon hour) I probably won't be coming here again. There's only one menu item (large/medium/small), yet maybe because they make it in batches, at lunchtime it takes 20-30 minutes from being seated to being served. If you do business in an office/student district, customers have fixed lunch hours, so serving speed should be everything, but it's not only slow, the order is a total mess. Some customers even canceled and left because it was taking too long. I was seated at the same time as the person behind me in line and ordered the same thing as the person sharing my table, yet for some reason they got served first. On top of that, even after they finished eating, mine still hadn't come, and when about 5 servings were finally done at once, they first went to another table of office workers who came later before it got around to me. Shouldn't they take orders while people are in line and start cooking based on turnover, rather than taking orders after seating? If they won't do that, they should stop forcing shared tables, reduce the number of seats, and turn customers away. I feel sorry for the office workers who were kept waiting and then ran out of time and couldn't eat lunch.
