This shop is inspired by 「びっくり亭」 in Jimbocho. A similar shop, 「無我夢中」, has also popped up in Ochanomizu, so maybe the west area of Kanda is having a Bikkuritei boom? Tonight I finally got to visit with an acquaintance, something I'd been looking forward to. The interior has the feel of a casual izakaya with bare concrete walls, and it's quite spacious for this kind of shop. There are no counter seats; it's a big space lined with lots of tables. It was evening, but the lineup was structured mainly around meals. There are 7 items available as set meals with color photos, plus a few simple snacks that look easy to prepare. Drinks cover the basics: beer, highballs, sours, and so on. My order was, quite literally, the teppan staple: 『Teppan yakiniku / 1.5 servings / 1,300 yen』. A tempting dish heaped with large, vivid green cabbage. The pork is cut into slabs and tender. The shape of the cabbage and meat varies from shop to shop, and the fun part of Hakata teppan yakiniku is how different they can be. Add the spicy miso paste and toss it together and it's 100 times tastier—I couldn't stop eating or drinking. In the end, we ordered the 1.5 servings three times (^_^;). However, I got so carried away that for some reason I didn't take a single photo…. The snacks like su-motsu and namul were good too. The two of us drank and ate for around 4,000-something yen per person. The service is solid, and since few customers come just to drink, it's not crowded. A hidden gem, I recommend it!

Fukuoka B-grade gourmet & soul food It says teppan yakiniku…, but it's not a yakiniku restaurant in the usual sense. The shop seems to have opened recently, with that casual, easy-to-enter vibe and big noren curtain that's been popping up more lately. Inside, lots of red tables are lined up, creating a retro feel. Draft beer (Black Label) 380 yen ×2 Kankoku yakko 280 yen Suji ponzu 380 yen Yamaimo teppanyaki 480 yen Teppan yakiniku (1 serving) 880 yen Shiko no reba-nira (1 serving) 880 yen Raw egg 100 yen ×2 Let me start with the conclusion: it's delicious and ridiculously cheap!! And while it goes great with beer, I also want to eat it with white rice at lunch!! The signature dishes are the teppanyaki and the reba-nira. These two are a must. Even though it's called yakiniku, it's not the type where you grill it yourself over a shichirin or gas grill. Finished with intense heat and skilled hands, the yakiniku is served on a piping-hot iron plate, brought before you sizzling away. Arriving with a powerful garlic aroma, the dish is lots of cabbage stir-fried with plenty of pork harami, and at first glance it looks like a healthy meat-and-veggie stir-fry. But the taste is the complete opposite of its looks—the ultimate soul food with edge to spare. If a teppanyaki like this goes sizzling past other customers, they just can't resist anymore. All the other options disappear, leaving just one: you have to order it. On the table sits a casually placed block of wood that looks like a Jenga piece. You slip it under one side of the iron plate to tilt it. Into the umami-packed oil from the meat and cabbage that pools at the low end, you dissolve as much of the special spicy miso as you like and dip as you eat. On a day like that, a dangerous dish is born that sends white rice, beer, and sours alike into an endless loop. All that food plus 2 beers, and it cost just about 2,000 yen per person… How much more on the side of the common folk can you be😭 Next time I'll come for lunch and eat it with white rice! It was truly delicious!!!

Drinking with Hakata's famous 『teppan yakiniku』 in Jimbocho~🍻 Teppan yakiniku, Hakata's soul food! Normally a dish you'd want to dig into with rice But tonight, it's a snack to go with beer~ @鉄板焼肉KINTO神保町本店 That's because at this shop, beer and highballs are 380 yen, a super cheap price~🙌 In that case, it's the perfect shop to use as an izakaya! So, starting with the snacks~ Shio kyabetsu, miso kyabetsu Yamaimo teppanyaki and teppan sujiyaki ponzu Even just the salt or miso cabbage is super tasty and the best snack On top of that, I love yamaimo teppanyaki! Mmm, delicious~ The ultimate dish I could eat forever The beer goes down fast every time~lol The teppan sujiyaki ponzu is piping hot and amazing too So, I switched my right hand to a highball and ordered the specialties! Shiko no reba-nira and teppanyaki Both were the best, but especially the bubbling sizzle of the teppanyaki is the best! Teppanyaki of cabbage and meat stir-fried with loads of garlic and lard~✨ How to eat this teppanyaki: ① Place the wooden block to tilt it ② Mix the oil that comes out with the spicy miso ③ Coat the piping-hot meat and cabbage with that spicy homemade miso and eat Wow, this is the best companion for a highball! When it comes to Hakata, there's tonkotsu ramen, squid, goma saba, motsunabe, mentaiko, and so on— so much local cuisine~ This 『teppanyaki』, honestly I'd never heard of it and it was my first time, but it's ridiculously delicious! Hakata's local cuisine is formidable~ KINTO, where you can enjoy teppanyaki like that with reasonably priced drinks, was the best The staff are pleasant to deal with too Next time, it's the ultimate dish I want to eat at lunchtime with a large serving of rice Whether at lunchtime or for a quick drink, you can enjoy 『Hakata's famous teppanyaki』 I think I'm going to get hooked! Of course, it's perfect for some serious drinking too Truly Hakata's soul food And so, another night of thoroughly enjoying drinks in Jimbocho~✨

【Jimbocho・Teppan yakiniku lunch】 You can eat Hakata's famous teppan yakiniku in Tokyo👍 Meat-and-veggie stir-fry piled on an iron plate with a large serving of rice—exactly the same as what I had in Fukuoka😁 Once the sizzling dies down, you slip a wooden stick under the iron plate so the fat runs off and pools on one side. Then you add the spicy miso from the table into the pooled fat🥄 and dip the meat in it to eat🙏 The best😄 There's no way it couldn't be delicious🫢 Next, I doused the stir-fry with grated garlic and dipped it in the fatty spicy miso to eat🙏 This was so good it made me blurt out "法の華"😋 And the rice just kept going🍚 I ended up getting a refill😅 I usually watch my calories a bit, but this time going over the limit couldn't be helped😀 I kept eating in silence and finished it all in about 10 minutes🙏 Seriously delicious🥹 I'll be back🫡 #kinto #鉄板焼肉 #鉄板焼肉kinto #鉄板焼肉kinto神保町本店 #博多名物 #焼肉 #焼肉ランチ #ランチ #グルメ #神保町 #神保町グルメ #神保町ランチ #東京 #東京グルメ #東京ランチ #tokyo #jinbocho #jimbocho #yakiniku #lunch #foodstagram

I'd been curious about Fukuoka's teppan yakiniku, but there wasn't one nearby… So after a concert at Nippon Budokan, I casually dropped in. On my totally worn-out body, the garlic hit hard. Even without the spicy miso it was well seasoned, and I wolfed it down in one go, huffing and puffing from the heat. I'll probably bother people on the train home with my strong garlic breath, but it seems like a good energy recharge. The flavor goes well with both rice and drinks, and the snacks are cheap too, starting from 150 yen. I was so satisfied with the taste that I wondered how delicious it must be at the source.
