・ Went to "霞舫酒家" in Kanda Awajicho. Ordered the recommended miso ramen + half fried rice (800 yen). It took pretty long to come out… The soup was watery… The noodles were soggy… The tea was lukewarm… I kind of saw it coming, but it's my first total flop of a meal in a long time😓 Gut instinct really matters! Thanks for the meal.

They said lunch side dishes were free! So I went in! Seeing the side dishes piled on big platters I thought "Uh oh, did I mess up?!" but every one of them was really delicious!! The main dish was properly made too!!

The mapo tofu is well-seasoned and tasty, and the corn cakes are especially flavorful. I recommend the Jingjiang shredded pork, and the draft beer is great!

The lunch menu is satisfying in price and taste, but in this day and age, 🚬🉑 at lunchtime is just not okay. It's a shame, since the food ends up smelling of smoke.
