This is an old restaurant specialized in tempura. The floor is sticky from the years of frying stuff. The staff is lovely and the food is tasty: fish is fresh, frying is well done. Price is reasonable. It’s worth it and we recommend it.

This is the tempura restaurant beloved by the literary giant Edogawa Ranpo. Here you’ll find the kind of tempura that even the most discerning Japanese palates enjoy.

Back May 2926 and the same consistent great food, awesome price in an authentic place And again Jan 2026...maybe more than once this trip. Excellent consistent basic good food. Street also has traditional style sweet shops if looking for something for authentic japanese gifts. And lots of books shops - the area is known for book shops. Back again in dec 2025 - same great fresh quality food. I will be back in January for same meal. 😃. Thank you. Great spot with awesome food. Frrsh fresh wonderful tempura at great price. Staff friendly and chef fabulous

Very good tempura at reasonable price. The fry was not too oily and the serving sizes were good. Slightly small seatings but otherwise very neat for a quick tempura meal. We had the 1500 menu of varied pieces.

Quick and filling choice for freshly fried tempura. If you want to eat here for lunch, be prepared for the queue during 11AM-13PM as the store is quite small. The food is quite cheap though. I ordered a Tendon for 900 yen and was super full. You can upsize your rice for free. The tempura set meal was only 1,000 yen as well. One thing to avoid sitting by the counter is the heavy smell of oil. If you have a choice, maybe you can ask the staff if you can sit inside.
