Just tried Yoshimuraya yokohama(world's first iekei ramen) 2 days ago and loved it, so decided to drop by Kanda waizu while iekei ramen is still fresh on my mind and because it had a very high tabelogu rating. Buy a ticket first (cash only), then lineup, eventually the staff will ask you how you like your noodles (soft, normal, hard) and take your ticket. After you will be guided in. I waited 40 minutes at 2:30pm on a Saturday. I ordered the nori chashuu ramen 1700円 and the rice 180円。 The ramen volume was massive. So much chashu it was hard to finish so please be careful. The broth has the similar to Fukuoka back alley tonkotsu bone broth powerful intense flavour and the smell is almost too powerful, Yoshimuraya has less of that smell and flavour . The chashu was cut so much thicker at waizu. The nori at yoshimuraya somehow never got soggy. Overall a good bowl with great friendly service. It is worth trying both places, Waizu if you love that absolutely intense tonkotsu broth just felt throughout your whole body..
View on GoogleA ramen spot that always draws a line, with about a 30-minute wait at most times. The noodles are thicker than usual, giving a satisfying bite, but the true highlight is the soup—rich, intensely thick, and uniquely distinctive. It stands out clearly from other ramen shops and is well worth the wait. They also have branches near Kanda Station and Akihabara Station, making it easy to visit. (The restaurant also uses Koshihikari rice, known for its premium quality and excellent texture, adding another thoughtful touch to the overall experience.)
View on GoogleIf you love a rich, heavy, and punchy broth, Kanda Ramen Waizu is an absolute must-try! 🍜 The depth of flavor in this bowl is incredible. The only catch? It runs quite a bit on the salty side, which is typical for this style, but it’s still a phenomenal bowl of ramen.
View on GoogleGreat little ramen shop close to Kanda station. Very small store where you need to walk sideway to get to your seat! We came around 11:30am and already a line up, luckily only need to wait for 10~mins. I ordered the most popular ramen in the store and surely did not disappoint. Soup was thick and very flavourful! Noodles have a slightly tight texture and able to hold the soup well. 2 pieces of pork was marinated perfectly and has a slight taste of ham and duck. One of the best ramen shop in the area for sure and well worth the wait.
View on GoogleEven around 11 p.m. on a Saturday night, there were still about 10 people in line at Wai’s, a ramen shop known for its constant queues. It’s impressive that there’s still a wait this late at night. You first purchase a meal ticket from the vending machine, then line up. Before long, a staff member comes over to collect the tickets and asks for your preferred noodle firmness. The restaurant has only counter seating, and the interior is quite narrow. If you’re a larger person and get seated in the back, it might be a bit of a challenge just to get to your seat. Order of the day ◆ Nori-Tama Ramen – ¥1,280 (Ordered with regular noodle firmness) The soup is a deep, dark brown, clearly signaling its richness. From the very first sip, the impact is powerful — the pork broth umami, saltiness, and soy sauce intensity all hit perfectly in sync. The medium-thick wavy noodles have a chewy texture and hold the soup well, making each bite satisfying. It’s a bowl with a bold, unforgettable flavor — the kind of ramen you suddenly crave out of nowhere. That’s the secret behind why this place always has a line. Thank you for the meal — thank you for the delicious ramen.
