Our favorite experience in all of our Tokyo stay! The sanchou was so sweet and provides both wonderful service and delicious hand-poured coffee. Even if you are someone who generally prefers a latte (like me), I highly recommend ordering a cup of his blend coffee in one of their antique cups. My husband and I both agreed it tastes wonderful and every cup is a work of art. And the atmoshpere in the shop! Like a little hidden world. We'll definitely return the next time we're in Tokyo.
View on GoogleThe best “café” experience I’ve had in Tokyo. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with jazz, soft yellow lighting and cigarette smoke. It feels like stepping into another time. The menu is entirely in Japanese, so I had to translate it on the spot…though in the end I just pointed to something and hoped for the best. I ended up with the seaweed butter toast and a cup of black coffee which turned out to be unexpectedly perfect. The most delightful part, though, was choosing my cup from their endless wall of porcelain cups! The whole experience felt very intimate and thoughtful
View on GoogleStepping into this coffee shop feels like traveling straight back to the 70s ☕✨ The kind of place where time slows down and you actually want to sit and stay awhile. But what truly makes this spot special is the lady behind the counter. There’s something so genuine and comforting about the way she prepares each coffee with care, attention, and a quiet kindness that you can feel in every cup. It’s not just coffee, it’s a whole experience. If you’re looking for a place with heart, personality, and a touch of nostalgia, this one is unforgettable.
View on GoogleSuch a great coffee bar. Selection of coffee was good, toasts were delicious!! You can also choose from more than 200 teacups for a personalised experience. Best part is the charming hospitality by the owner. So good we came back again the next morning.
View on GoogleWonderful traditional “kissaten” in bustling Tokyo. Don’t be intimated by the stairs down to the basement location…beautiful coffee shop that lets you choose your own coffee cup. I recommend the “Kaihido” house blend and the nori cheese toast.
