This review is based on my experience as a foreigner. Experience for locals will be easier in some aspects. Our hotel was in the Hanzomon area, so we came across this restaurant while walking around. It looks stylish and they also have an outdoor patio that's just above street level, so an ideal location. First off, their menu only comes in Japanese. Not generally a problem for me. However, they highly prefer that you place your order using the QR code that takes you to the Line app. If you do not have a Japanese phone number, you won't be able to do this. I do have Line, and it still took me longer to scroll through everything than it would have taken me to just order off of the paper menu. It is probably more efficient for the kitchen and bar staff, but certainly not for clients. On to the food and drinks. They have a large selection of craft beers, of which 85% were unavailable on Line. They also had some highball drinks, mixed drinks and a decent selection of wine. We ordered a bunch of different skewers. They all tasted great, but there wasn't a lot of meat on them for the price. Also, the shrimp skewers came unpeeled which made it difficult to eat. We did also order their tiramisu cheesecake. It was very fluffy and fluffy, and the base was made with nuts instead of crackers. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They did help us out in the beginning to figure out the order system and they cleared the table after we finished each dish. Overall, we had a good time coming here to have a few drinks and sharing some skewers. Sadly it is on the pricy side for what you are getting, especially food-wise. I'd give it 3.5/5 because of this.

View on GoogleOUR PERSONAL VERDICT: - A solid visit. - Value for money was OK. OUR PERSONAL IMPRESSION: - Food: The selection was large and the food tasted good. The fried prawns with vegetables and cashew nuts were crisp, as was the cucumber salad. The fries were dusted with an interesting spice blend. - The Fried Rice and the Ramen tasted very good. It was a solid, honest meal without big surprises, but also without any really major culinary highlights. - We found the tableware with its various patterns fitting for the relaxed style. Service: The service was really very good. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive and quick. That made the evening very pleasant. OUR FACTS: - Visit: Our first visit. - Time: Evening. - Consumed: A colorful mix of starters (cucumber salad, spring rolls, fries, fried chicken) and mains (prawn stir-fry, Fried Rice, Ramen) plus drinks.
View on GoogleThere was a sister shop of Johnny Noodle nearby, so I gave it a try. So the shop in Ojima is part of the same group too. This shop is cashless payment only. I was going to order the chicken soba, but I'm not a big fan of chicken chashu, so I got the Tokyo Classic. I realized later I should've gotten the chicken soba with pork chashu as a topping.
