An amazing museum with free admission. It’s worth exploring every corner and cabinet, because you do not know what you might discover. Seeing the old study models of bones and organs created from hand-carved wood and painted paper mache really amazed me.
View on GoogleIt was an interesting experience. A good to visit place. Free to enter. Lots of taxidermied specimens and preserved skeletal remains of various fauna can be found here. Worth to drop by and take a gander if you are nearby. Note that your bags must be carried in front of you (reason being that backpacks and the like might accidentally be swung onto the display cases).
View on GoogleLocated in a shopping complex/department store, next to Tokyo station, this was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. To find a museum there was amazing, especially with the varied pieces on display. So much history from around the world and free admission as well. It really is a great place to visit and I'd highly recommend a visit here if you're interested in history and natural history.
View on GoogleHighly recommended if you have a couple hours in Tokyo. It’s like a tiny Museum of Natural History to me. Majority of the collections are from University of Tokyo’s medical school. The bones, minerals and plants are amazing to see.
View on GoogleThe last few times I visited the Kitte mall I never noticed the Intermediatheque, a little museum showcasing the scientific (natural history) and cultural heritage collections of the University of Tokyo. Very interesting, and popular with shoppers!
