Traditional Ramen restaurant, one of my favorites. “Hanchan” - ramen with half fried rice always reminds me of my youth.
View on GoogleGood old style ramen restaurant. Authentic and traditional taste. Kind and fast services. Great place. Even it relocated to new place, authenticity is the same. If you want some modern style ramen, this is NOT your place. Some reviewers just don't get it.
View on GoogleFirst visit after moving. When I entered the shop, the owner and the landlady were there. They are old, but I'm glad they look healthy. Maybe because I went during idle time, I was the only customer. I ordered han-chan ramen, the ramen was finished first, followed by the fried rice that was already prepared. It was prepared in advance just like Sabu-chan. But maybe when you're lucky, freshly made ones will come out too. The ramen is really no different from the old days. Simple Tokyo ramen. I ate while wondering if the fried rice was like this. Maybe because of the strong impression of Sabu-chan's fried rice. However, this is a legendary Tokyo ramen that I want to remain forever. The owner of Sabu-chan and his partner who specializes in dishwashing are also quite old, but I want both shops to stay healthy and do their best forever. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleThe Chinese noodles brought were clear shoyu soup with thin noodles. The taste of chicken and pork spreads slowly, a soup that feels sweet. When sprinkled with pepper, the taste changes slightly sharply, just right. It's a gentle taste that makes me want to eat it every day. The set fried rice is also mild and delicious. The finish tends to be moist, and the taste of egg and char siu blends into every grain of rice, a simple deliciousness that doesn't get boring. When eaten while alternating with ramen soup, each other's tastes highlight each other. I was surprised by the price of 750 yen for this. Not luxury, but one bowl and one plate filled with reasons why it has been loved for many years. It was a warm and gentle taste that blends into the town of Jimbocho. Not flashy, but makes me want to eat it again. It was something filled with such charm.😋✨
View on GoogleI wanted to eat Jimbocho half fried rice ramen, so I visited on a weekday at 12:30. I used to go to Sabu-chan which has closed, but this is my first time at Ikyo. It was an L-shaped counter with about 7 seats and it was full, and I was able to sit in about 5 minutes. I ordered half fried rice ramen for 750 yen, and it was served in 7-8 minutes. Thin straight noodles, with char siu, nori, and green onions on top. The soup is Showa nostalgic Chinese noodles with a light shoyu taste. The fried rice is dry. It was clearly different from Sabu-chan's sweet soup and grilled rice style fried rice, but I think this is also okay. I felt a smile seeing the old landlady taking orders. I want them to keep protecting the curtain of Jimbocho's traditional ramen shop forever. Late in the afternoon, I passed by the shop several times but it was closed. I recommend going early.
