I stopped by Hyakunen Honpo Ramen Akihabara Main Branch and needed a little help figuring out the ordering setup at first, but the staff member I spoke with made it easy to get sorted. After that, everything felt straightforward and relaxed. The ramen and gyoza were both satisfying, and it was exactly the kind of comforting meal I was hoping for in Akihabara.
View on GooglePerfect spot for a rainy day ramen craving. Ordering is easy with the kiosk, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The whole experience feels smooth and comfortable, making it a great place to warm up with a good bowl of ramen.
View on GoogleTheir signature ramen dish was very flavorful, comes with pork and bamboo shoots, you can add on more toppings with extra money. The vibe of the place was nice and it was full of locals. Great for a warm dinner on a cold night.
View on GoogleThis was the best ramen I had while in Japan. And I tried a lot of ramen in two weeks. I ordered the special spicy ramen bowl and gyoza. The ramen wasn’t too spicy but had a perfect flavour and gracious amount of meat and toppings. The egg was perfectly jammy topped with some kind of ball that elevated the profile and texture. WOW what a bowl. Thank you!!!
View on GoogleLocated near Suehirocho Station, this small and quaint shop offers a bright, welcoming atmosphere that feels both clean and inviting. I went for their shoyu ramen, which turned out to be more substantial than expected. While soy-based broths typically lean lighter, this one is enriched with seabura (backfat)—adding a glossy surface and a richer, more indulgent mouthfeel. Aromatically, it carries a savory, slightly pork-forward note, while on the palate it balances depth with a lingering, satisfying umami. The broth remains structured despite the added richness, avoiding heaviness and maintaining a cohesive, drinkable quality. The toppings were equally well-executed—each component thoughtfully prepared, adding both texture and flavor to round out the bowl. A deceptively hearty take on shoyu ramen, served in a charming, understated setting.
