Hokkaido cuisine. Not just seafood e.g. Hokkaido lamb is nice. But the fish is v good - outstanding sashimi and the snow crab is delicious. You’ll need Google Translate for the menu. Can book on Tabelog.

The food and drinks are very delicious! The kelp snack has an interesting texture and is tasty, the sashimi was of course great, and all the assorted platters were delicious. The service is very good, and if you tell the staff what kind of Japanese sake you like, they will bring you several recommendations. I asked a few questions and talked about my preferences, and they re-selected and explained everything carefully. The restaurant has tables and some horigotatsu seats by the window. Please be careful if you are wearing sandals or boots. The interior of the restaurant was also clean.

This is a Hokkaido cuisine restaurant [Ezo-ra] inside TOKYO TORCH Terrace near Tokyo Station. They have Sorachi Ale, so they really push the Hokkaido theme. Inside the shop, there are counter/table/raised seating areas, and this time we were guided to the raised seating. Ordering is done via the currently trendy tabletop Web reservation system. We started with a toast of Sorachi Ale, and the appetizer was deep-fried kelp with an unexpectedly interesting texture. We ordered sashimi/zangi/dried squid tempura/monkfish liver, etc. When I took out my PC to chat while drinking, a staff member warned me [Don't open your PC here], and even though there were no other customers around, they told me not to put my bags down... for some reason, the service was very high-handed. With expectations dropping like that, the food arrived. The sashimi was watery from being thawed from frozen, the zangi was hard... a festival of disappointment. Furthermore, the plating of the other dishes was noticeably messy, so we couldn't enjoy it. The price of the food is quite high, and considering the quality, the cost-performance is bad, and the staff's service attitude is the worst I've seen in a long time... We were enjoying our conversation, but they took our plates away and told us to eat quickly because it was close to closing time, which was terrible. I will never go back.

Used for lunch, I felt relieved by the stable deliciousness. I often go to other restaurants in Tokiwabashi Tower, but I visited for the first time because I wanted to eat Japanese food. ① 2-type Saikyo-yaki set ¥1,280 Nothing fancy, it was simply delicious. The two types were Spanish mackerel and salmon. The Saikyo-yaki was a bit small, but the rice, side dishes, and miso soup were all spot on. ② Clean shop and good service Since it's inside the new Tokiwabashi Tower, it's clean without issues. The view outside is also open. The staff were all very pleasant. ③ Rich menu I chose Saikyo-yaki this time, but next time I want to try the seafood bowl.

Ordered the fisherman's bowl for 1200 yen. ◆Location…☆4 3 minutes walk northeast from Tokyo Station. Restaurant zone on the 2nd floor of a large office building built in front of Tokyo Station. ◆Layout/Interior design…☆4 To the left of the entrance is an L-shaped counter with 8 seats, on the right are 4 tables for 4 people, 3 tables for 2 people. On the back right terrace are 6 tables for 4 people, kitchen in front of the counter. The interior has a high ceiling that feels pleasant, but above all, being able to eat on the outside terrace gives an open and fun feeling. ◆Operations/Atmosphere…☆3 In the kitchen there are 3 men, in kitchen + service there is 1 man + 1 woman. The shop was busy with many customers. BGM is Japanese-style instrumental music. ◆Cuisine…☆3 Because I ordered a bowl, unfortunately there were few vegetables. The bowl was also surprisingly small, but when I ate it, there was plenty of rice, so maybe because of the depth, the capacity was sufficient. The sashimi contained 2-3 pieces of yellowtail? cut to normal size, in the center was salted squid (shiokara), and underneath was sashimi cut into small pieces. The contrast with the green onions and ginger (myoga) as condiments was also good, and all the ingredients were fresh, crunchy, and delicious. Also, unlike a normal seafood bowl, there was no miso soup but there was broth (dashi), which was meant to be poured over the end of the seafood bowl to be eaten as dashi chazuke, and I could feel the change in taste which was fun. When paying at the register, I was given kelp as a souvenir, which was interesting like the fennel next to the register at a Thai restaurant.
