Aji tataki and sardine sashimi set meal These are my two top favorite fish. I was trying to choose between aji tataki and sardine sashimi when I heard I could have both, so I ordered both. At 2,100円 for the two together, it is plenty cheap. Both are topped with ginger and finely sliced green onions. Drizzle soy sauce around once, mix lightly, and eat. The springy, firm aji tataki and the fatty sardine sashimi are both fresh and extremely delicious. The sharp kick of ginger combined with the crisp texture of the green onions makes them outrageously good. I cannot stop eating the rice.

Tucked away in the basement of a building in Hitotsubashi. They start exactly on time and finish exactly on time. I ordered a large serving of aji tataki. First, the miso soup. The shijimi clams are delicious. They have been properly purged of sand. I hardly noticed any sand at all. The aji has almost no fishy smell. The rice is a little firm. Thank you for the meal.

2025.06.05 I came back to try again after quite a while. This time I left the office early and arrived at 12時35分, checked that they were open, and went in. The counter was full, but I was shown to a shared table at the back♪ Of course, I ordered the large aji tataki for 1500円♪ It must already have been prepared, as it arrived in 1 minute. Rice, miso soup, shirasu oroshi, aji tataki (with plenty of green onions and ginger), and pickles. I drizzled soy sauce over the tataki, mixed it thoroughly, and dug in. The ginger really comes through, nice♪ It makes the rice go down easily. The rice is a large serving too, nice♪ The miso soup has shijimi clams and is delicious!! Finished it in no time! The side dishes felt a little sparse, but it was delicious♪ Well then, thank you for the meal. 2025.03.04 I discovered this place the other day. It is a little far from the office, about a 15-minute walk, but I visited with high hopes! It was 13時13分, but lunch was already over... It looks like you need to arrive by 13:00 to eat. I will find another time and come back to try again♪

Visited before 12:00 on a weekday. The restaurant is in the dining area on B1 of the Japan Education Center. It was already almost full, but a counter seat opened up at just the right time, so I could sit down immediately. There are 6 counter seats and about 3 table seating areas. Customers keep arriving one after another. I ordered aji tataki, the sardine sashimi set meal, and a small negima. Everything is delicious. Both the aji and sardines are carefully prepared, with no small bones at all. No fishy smell either, and such a fresh sashimi set meal is 1,100円. Unbeatable value too. Of course, the rice and miso soup are delicious as well. The shijimi miso soup is a welcome touch. The negima is tuna and green onions simmered in a sweet-savory sauce, and it goes very well with rice.

The restaurant is tucked away in the basement of the Japan Education Center. At lunchtime, customers arrive very quickly and every table and seat fills up immediately. Once you order, the meal tray arrives at a brisk pace too. The tea and soup were hot, but the atmosphere did not feel conducive to asking for water. The aji tataki is superb, the rice is cooked exceptionally well, and there is nothing to fault about the shijimi soup or accompaniments. But the dining room is run with the kind of unwritten rules common at lunch spots, and the server's piercing gaze is like a falconer's. A man's meal to wolf down, lingering is strictly forbidden, and payment is cash too. A once-in-a-lifetime encounter—some days are like that.
