First of all, the setting is very Japanese (especially that you have to take off shoes when going up 2nd floor). We booked a course menu which was meticulously prepared and beautifully served one by one. The taste was perhaps authentic as I found it a little mild. The staffs were attentive with high service mind (they may not understand English well). Recommended for a business lunch.

My wife and me had an incredible night. The food was perfect and every single dish had a special flavour. The staff is also really wonderful, they were always smiling and translated everything to us. For sure I will come back someday once I visit Japan again!

This place was one of my favorite restaurants in Tokyo. The food was super delicious and the staff were also very accommodating, made me feel at home.

Best kept secret for local diners, although very authentic Japanese dishes and not commendable for generally non Japanese guests due to restriction on menu offerings. Known as 池波正太郎's favorite dine out during 1960s.

Nice authentic place. Tatami seating in a private room, good food albeit small portions (for western standards). Waters can make themselves understand in limited English.
