Had lunch there, the signature carbonara and salad of the day. The salad was normal, nothing special. Mozzarella was added but few small chunks. Carbonara pasta dish was nice and was coming with extra mini salad. Both salad and pasta arrived with tasty focaccia. Finished lunch with mille feuille dessert and cappuccino, lemon ice cream with hot tea. The cake was great, delicious and not too sweet. The rest just ordinary. Prices above average. Service perfect. Other Giolitti places, for example the one in Shanghai, have a large selection of fantastic pizza, pinsa and sandwiches. It’s a pity here the menu is reduced.
View on GoogleI discovered a new place to go when I need a quick lunch in the area. The atmosphere is very nice, large windows with a view to the railways so if you have a train fan, they would love seeing the bullet train come by. The food was good, not super special, but solid. It's a bit on the pricey side, but average considering the area.
View on GoogleThe QR ordering system is inconvenient. I would rather tell my order to a staff member. One staff member was cold but two other staff members were very kind and smiling. The view was great. The most disappointing thing was the small size for the price. 3 small scoops (including coffee)for just over 1700yen is TOO EXPENSIVE. Pistachio was delicious, black sesame was too sweet and rice flavor was pretty good.
View on GoogleI have tried only the gelato here. As an Italian in Tokyo, I can assure you that this gelato is not special at all. It's very pricey and very average gelato that you can find in average gelato shops in Italy. I do not recommend going here for gelato.
View on GoogleLooks like a very fashionable cafe. The seats are comfortable and there’s enough space between tables not to feel cramped. The Gelato was lovely. We ordered the chocolate and mixed berry gelato and the chocolate was quite rich while the mixed berry really jumped out. The pot of tea only filled up two cups but the Italian beer was very light, smooth, and refreshing. As for the service, I would expect more for the price and for a cafe in Japan. Water, sugar, creamer, gum syrup, tea spoon, and wet towels are all self-service but you aren’t told anything you have to figure it out. And when we asked for sugar for the hot tea the waiter brought us a gum syrup which is usually for cold drinks.
