The Ultimate Destination for Specialty Coffee Lovers! Incredible Panama Geisha Soft Serve & Iced Coffee If you are a coffee enthusiast visiting Japan, stopping by Saza Coffee is non-negotiable. Renowned as a pioneer in Japan's specialty coffee scene, Saza Coffee is famous nationwide for its deep passion for the legendary Geisha variety—even owning its own coffee farm, the "Saza Panama Farm," in the Chiriquí province of Panama. During my visit, I ordered the Iced Coffee and their signature Geisha Soft Serve. The Iced Coffee was exceptional—clean, vibrant, and perfectly balanced with sweet, fruity notes and a crisp finish that refreshed me instantly. It’s light years ahead of your average iced coffee. However, the real showstopper was the Geisha Soft Serve. Combining world-class, premium Panama Geisha beans into a soft-serve dessert is pure genius. Instead of just tasting like standard coffee ice cream, it faithfully captures the distinct floral, jasmine-like aroma and delicate citrusy undertones that make Geisha beans so famous worldwide. The texture is velvety and smooth, with a rich creaminess that never overpowers the complex flavors of the coffee itself. What makes this place so special is their uncompromised dedication to quality—from direct trade with top producers and winning world coffee auctions to meticulously roasting every batch. The passion for coffee culture is evident in every single detail, including the store's warm ambiance and knowledgeable staff. Whether you are looking for a world-class pourover, a refreshing cold brew, or an unforgettable coffee-infused dessert, Saza Coffee delivers an unparalleled experience. Highly, highly recommended for any coffee lover!
View on GoogleAnd reading their reviews, I scratched my head and failed to understand some of the low scores. Having worked in specialty coffee industry for more than seven years, I think I’ve had a cup or two. With that being said, I believe that the elevated coffee to an art form. The milk texture was extraordinary, and the care in which they prepared the drinks. It was quite evident. We had two different sandwiches and one apple pastry. They were absolutely off the hook. Delicious! The staff was kind and accommodating. The restrooms were immaculately clean, and the panoramic view was breathtaking. -suffice to say, I’m a big fan!! Great job guys. Please keep up the good work!!
View on GoogleApparently a high-quality coffee shop. The prices are frankly speaking over the top. The coffee was good but nothing exceptional. The location and the overall interior was well designed yet it might not be my first choice considering the high price tag.
View on GoogleOkay, yeah they have great coffee (especially Geisha beans variety is matchless), service is amazing, location is perfect, washroom is clean etc…but i found there coffee a little lighter on roast and while full of taste & aroma, lacking the punch. I still think Saza Coffee is better when it comes to Geisha beans. They have multiple floors with elevator, so even with wheelchair/babycar, the shop is accessible. It’s is on very high end of coffee price (almost 4 times Starbucks or Dean&Deluxa price which are across the street), so make sure you go there when you have time to sit and enjoy the coffee!
View on GoogleWe bought three cakes to take back to our hotel nearby (The Peninsula)—a baked cheesecake, a chocolate choux, and a Mont Blanc. Unfortunately, the cheesecake was completely spoiled and had a foul, sour taste of food deterioration. It was extremely disappointing, especially considering the prices here are not cheap. Please be extra careful with food safety and quality control.
