If you find yourself wandering on a colder day and craving something to warm your soul, this quiet, local gem is exactly where you need to be. The Vibe The restaurant has a wonderful "local feel"—unpretentious, calm, and incredibly welcoming. While it feels like a neighborhood secret, the atmosphere is warm enough to make anyone feel at home. It is particularly **perfect for solo diners** who want a peaceful meal, though the space is accommodating enough for groups as well. Service Don’t let a language barrier deter you. While there isn't an English menu, the staff is exceptionally kind and thoughtful. They quickly provided a **menu with pictures**, making it easy to navigate the options, and the staff's patience makes the experience stress-free (and of course, Google Translate can help with the finer details). The Food I opted for the **Clam Udon** and a side of **Onion and Shrimp Tempura**. * **The Broth:** The standout was undoubtedly the udon soup. It was incredibly rich and savory—the kind of broth where you find yourself enjoying every single sip until the bowl is empty. It’s the ultimate comfort food for a dip in temperature. The Tempura:** The onion and shrimp tempura provided a lovely crisp contrast to the soft udon noodles and the deep flavor of the clams. Final Verdict Whether you are exploring on your own or looking for a cozy spot to gather with friends, I highly recommend this place. It’s authentic, the service is heartwarming, and the food is deeply satisfying. Note - i had no reservations. It was just walk-in. **Recommended for:** Solo travelers, soup lovers, and anyone seeking an authentic local dining experience.

I was refused entry here tonight simply for being a foreigner. I spoke to the staff in fluent Japanese, so there was absolutely no language barrier, but they still turned me away. Looking at other reviews, it’s clear this establishment has a strict, discriminatory 'Japanese only' policy. Very disappointing and humiliating experience—avoid this place.

Don’t know what some of the other reviews are saying. We arrived at 9:30-10:00 and the host happily sorted us with a counter table. There were a handful of dishes that were not available, sold out. But the host was happy to help us order despite us being very poor in Japanese language. The food was simply fantastic and the staff were super friendly. 10/10 would recommend.

Very local udon place with AMAZING handmade udon. The udon is by far the best udon I have ever tried, it’s chewy bouncy and tasty with very umami broth. The fried side dishes were great too! Service is great even if you don’t speak japanese.

Legit udon which is hand made at the shop. Udon was chewy and "fresh". The tempura was fried expertly as well. Must try!
