An exhibition space created by restoring a Meiji-era kura storehouse (a Nationally Registered Tangible Cultural Property). It's a gallery. A "timber-framed brick" storehouse built in Meiji 44 (1911), associated with the Iwasaki family of the former Mitsubishi zaibatsu.
View on GoogleFeels like a cozy three-story house. A solo exhibition was being held in the gallery, and the calm atmosphere was nice. Access is easy too, I'll go again.
View on GoogleA gallery converted from a Japanese-style kura storehouse behind Sola City. It's small, so it's not suited to large exhibitions, but for intimate exhibitions it has great atmosphere. It's also nice that you can get here from the station without an umbrella.
View on GoogleGallery Kura, an exhibition space at Sola City. I didn't go inside, but the exterior had a lovely, tasteful charm. It seemed they were accepting applications for exhibitions.
View on GoogleThey hold all kinds of solo exhibitions, and it's enjoyable. This time photos and social media posts were OK, so I posted.
