If you are a westerner who wants to know what a typical Japanese restaurant is like, then come here as they have an English menu. We had a delicious tempura lunch set for 1800 yen. There were chicken bowls, curry bowls, Katsu (like a schnitzel) ranging from 1000 - 1800 yen and the servings were generous. There's a delicious bowl of noodles on the side which you can have served hot or cold. The staff were kind and patient.
View on GoogleWe had the ramen (was delicious and forgot to take a picture) and then the chicken and prawns. The chef was also the waiter and it’s a very cute Japanese restaurant (close to our hotel) - the menu was in Japanese only but we managed to get buy as there were pictures!
View on GoogleCurry jū set It's a basement shop, but the moment you step through the door you can tell people used to smoke heavily in here… The smoke soaked into the walls is at a level where it'll never come off. As for the all-important taste, both the curry and the soba are completely ordinary. The soba is bukkake, not zaru.
View on GoogleI really wanted ramen with a soba-dashi base, so I came back for the first time in a while Reliably delicious as always
View on GoogleI went in at lunchtime. Katsudon and cold soba set. The menu said katsujū set, but it came in a donburi bowl, not a jū box. Both the katsudon and the cold soba tasted perfectly ordinary. Nothing particularly distinctive. ¥1,400 for a weekday lunch may be unavoidable given the location, but it felt expensive.
