Apparently they're closing at the end of June! Even running it solo wasn't enough, then. Such a shame. I'll come to eat on the last day. Today I had the small-shrimp tempura soba for 500円. It's well-balanced soba as always. I drank the broth too. Delicious. Today I had tentama soba for 560円. It's priced a little higher when so many other dishes are 500円. But it's delicious. Save the yolk until the end, then coat the soba with it when it's thick and runny—so good! I couldn't bear to waste any, so I drank all the broth too. I was full. My first niku soba was satisfying at 500円. I added the tenkasu on the table and enjoyed it. There's less meat than in 豊はる's niku soba, but the seasoning and overall execution are far superior. I'll come eat again! Tried the mimi tendon set for the first time at 550円. I added tenkasu and ichimi to the kake soba and enjoyed it. The tendon's sweet sauce was delicious too, and I finished everything, including the broth. Full and satisfied. The gyudon set also looks good. Today I had lots of loose change, so I ate the tentama soba for 470円. As always, the soba, broth, and kakiage were well balanced: delicious, high-quality soba. I drank the broth too and was full. It warmed me up. Today I had 550円 in change, so I checked what I could eat and realized I could get the 450円 maitake tempura soba with a large portion for an extra 100円. I bought 2 tickets from the machine. The soba was well balanced as always; you can taste how good it is when you slurp it. The water I drank at the end was delicious too. Completely different. Next time I'll come again at night. I had chilled kakiage soba for 410円. I really think bukkake soba is delicious because the soba's flavor and broth come together so well. I'm convinced it ranks alongside the famous places around here. Perhaps it's the Shinshu buckwheat flour, the water, and the owner's skill? The water at the end is soft and delicious too. One of the 2 office workers behind me was raving about how delicious it was. The other said he comes at least 2 times a week. I think it's an excellent restaurant. I decided to try mori soba next. The hot soba is delicious too, but the cold soba made a stronger impression, so I ordered the chilled tanuki soba for 380円 again, the first thing I ate here. At this price, that amount of soba and wakame is a bargain. Chilling the soba improves its smoothness and definition, making it feel like you're eating more expensive soba. There's plenty of tenkasu too, but if you want more, just add some from the table! Seeing the customer ahead eating a large mori soba, and then the poster on the wall for curry soba at 370円, made me want to try both next time. This place never gets boring. Today I was hungry and decided on a set: the mini gyudon set with kake soba. It's 600円. Quite a substantial portion. I added heaps of tenkasu from the table to transform the kake soba into tanuki soba. Delicious as always! The gyudon is a little sweet. Adding ichimi to make it spicy was great! But I'm so full. I feel like I might doze off this afternoon. Today I had the classic hot kakiage soba. The broth was delicious too, and I was very satisfied. What's more, the kakiage was delicate and delicious! I think they use good oil and fry it skillfully. This place has delicious soba and broth at low prices. I'd definitely recommend it over a mediocre standing soba place. My first visit. The words Edo-kiri had caught my attention. Prices are comparable to standing soba shops, but the flavor of the soba and broth is far beyond that. Not really knowing what to order, I had chilled tanuki soba for 380円. Tempura was lined up on the serving counter, so I thought I could add some as a topping and asked. Squid tempura was an affordable 60円. Dissolving wasabi in the broth and slurping the thin-cut soba was really delicious! A sign in front said they get freshly made soba from Shinshu every day. Apparently they use Shinshu water too. Even I could tell the difference. The water dispenser said to enjoy the cold, delicious water, and it really was delicious! At night it seems to be an izakaya, with lots of drinking-snack menu cards posted inside. This place is a hidden gem. For cheap, delicious soba, I prefer it to 笠置そば. I'll keep coming for a while!
View on GoogleI've been coming every week since my first visit this autumn. The first time I ate here, I was genuinely moved. Firm, chewy soba and a slightly sweet broth with rich dashi flavor. Great value and very satisfying.
View on GoogleThe best! I've been coming regularly since university, and everything is delicious and cheap! The soba is exceptional too☆ A hidden gem I'd really love everyone to visit at least once.
View on GoogleI visit occasionally for both lunch and dinner. Personally, I love the Tartary buckwheat soba here. The manager is always friendly and runs everything alone. Seating is limited, so it might not suit groups!?
View on GoogleA soba shop run by a friendly older man, though he looked like he had his hands full doing everything alone. Maybe because I chose the meat soba, the dashi broth was on the sweet side and delicious.
