Take out 26 May 2026. There is no queue when I arrive on 10.30 am. The smell of butter all in the store. I buy Croissant demi salt ¥500 and Financier ¥550. The croissant is very delicious, the best version I've ever had. Crumchy layered outside, moist buttery inside. Definitely worth to visit.

Madeleines are delicious, but financiers are even more impressive; the parts rising above the mold have a wonderfully crisp texture—you could easily end up eating five of them without realizing it!

My partner and I loved echiré so much that we wanted to have it 3 times in our 2 week trip. Note that different stores sell different products though… our favorite cream puff was only sold in the JR nagoya takashimaya store. Nonetheless, we had an amazing slice of cake from the marunouchi branch. Most locals were buying financiers, sand cookie (which I tried and loved the rum and raisin flavor) and French butter from the store. Arrive at the opening time as the popular items sell out quick.

Brought home the yummy cookies. The croissants and financiers were my favourites. Really delicious when fresh.

Echiré is a French butter brand but I think they only have pastry shops in Japan? The financier and madelines are famous.
