Surprisingly good. This unpretentious place does amazing European style charcoal meats, terrines, patés and confits. All with Japanese care and service, and a thoughtful selected wine menu. Value for money is an understatement.

On days in Jinbocho when you think, “I'd like some meat today,” head to “Ceppo(チェッポ),” tucked away in a back alley. The dinner menu's “Today's Grill” really conveys how carefully they treat the meat, adapting to the cut available that day. Above all, the cuts are exquisite, and the cooking is wonderful at bringing out the meat's flavor. Nibbling on an appetizer assortment while waiting for the meat to slowly grill is another pleasure here. The casual, calm, somehow comforting atmosphere feels as if you've wandered into a bistro in an old Paris neighborhood. It's a standout in Jinbocho where you can enjoy a relaxed, unpretentious time while sipping a reasonably priced glass of wine recommended by the restaurant.
