Visited with a friend. The retro atmosphere really struck a chord with me. As usual when entering an okonomiyaki restaurant, we ordered one monja and one okonomiyaki. The taste was reliably good. Seeing it written on the menu inside, I ordered pork jowl kakuni. (The dish in the photo) It was so delicious I almost cried. I'll definitely visit again.

The interior has that good old Showa-era atmosphere. Dagashi sweets and such are on the menu and can be ordered too. Perhaps my timing was bad, but we were shown to the table furthest back. However, this seating area is shaped like a reversed U, so whenever you call a staff member, they have to take a long way around. That made me oddly self-conscious, so when another customer called, we would order at the same time. As for the food itself, everything seemed heavily seasoned. My companions said so too, so it wasn't just me. The seasoning wasn't bad (actually tasty), so it's a restaurant I'd like to try again.

A monja restaurant with a full-on Showa vibe. The food is reasonably tasty. The service is neither good nor bad. Value for money is fairly standard too. Overall, neither good nor bad. Probably a safe choice. Since you can only cook one monja at a time, I wish they'd staggered bringing them out when we ordered 2……. That's about it. Thank you for the meal.
