安安餃子房 A convenient, neighborhood-style Chinese restaurant in 九段南🥢✨ Located on the 1st floor of 九段大島ビル, it has an easygoing atmosphere that makes it easy to drop in for lunch or dinner. The interior is casual and relaxed, and feels welcoming whether you come alone or with a group😊 The menu offers a wide range of classic Chinese dishes, with a dependable lineup of stir-fries, noodles, and rice dishes🍜🍚 They also have gyoza, but what stood out was that the menu lets you enjoy Chinese food as a whole rather than making gyoza the main attraction. The seasoning isn't too strong, suits Japanese tastes, and is easy to enjoy at lunch or dinner😋 The portions are just right and satisfying when you want a proper meal✨ Food comes out quickly, so it's a reliable option even during lunchtime👍 The staff were efficient, making for a pleasant visit. A dependable spot in the 九段 area when you want some unpretentious Chinese food🌙 A handy place to keep in mind for everyday Chinese dining😊🥢✨

Came for lunch. I got the daily set meal with a large rice and an add-on set of 3 gyoza. The gyoza were delicious. The daily set was also tasty, with tender deep-fried pork in what seemed like a sweet-and-sour sauce. It came to 1150 yen altogether. Delicious. Just one thing: the sample gyoza displayed outside fooled me. The actual ones are about half that size. So I'm taking off 1 star.

Went in after 13:00. There were already a fair number of customers. You can add 3 gyoza to lunch for 150 yen, so I ordered them with the gomoku fried rice for 800 yen. Were the gyoza made in advance? They weren't cold, but they weren't piping hot either. The wrappers were fairly chewy, which is the type I like, and the gentle seasoning was nice too. It made me want to try a full portion piping hot. The fried rice was very mildly seasoned. I prefer that to an odd savory flavor with an unpleasant aftertaste or too much salt, but it didn't leave much of an impression. For the latter half, I added just a tiny amount of the soy sauce and vinegar I'd mixed as a gyoza dipping sauce. For a mainland Chinese-run place, the service is good, and it struck me as good value for money.

Perhaps because it's a business district, few places are open on Sundays, so just having this place open is a big help. As you'd expect from a neighborhood Chinese restaurant, the flavors are fairly strong. The generous portions of the main dishes probably help the rice go down too. What's more, the rice refill offering is generous, and apparently you can even get more soup, which is really appreciated. It's certainly not a flashy place, and women might find it a little intimidating to enter, but it's a business-district restaurant that makes you want them to keep going.

It's close to an exit of 市ヶ谷 subway station. The outside looks run-down, but inside it's only a little dated. The food tasted fairly light and was easy to enjoy. The service was also gentle for Chinese staff, which made me feel at ease.
