First visit. It's on the backstreet between Shueisha and Yasukuni-dori, which is no longer filled with queues now that 黒須 is gone. Its appearance is so quiet that I didn't notice it at first; a serene restaurant. Truly a hideaway. Once inside, it's surprisingly spacious. The L-shaped restaurant has plenty of seating toward the back. The staff were very kind and explained the menu in detail. The service was incredible, including frequent water refills. Wonderful. The food also tasted excellent, delivering more than its price suggests. Quite a lot was sold out, about half, to the point that they might as well display a reduced selection. The portions were fairly generous too, and I was very satisfied They even gave me a complimentary cake because it was my first visit. I don't think ☆5 is enough for the service

【This backstreet Italian restaurant, revived after COVID, serves thoughtfully prepared food that's good‼︎ in a calm, warm, homelike atmosphere】 This Italian restaurant is a 2-minute walk from Jimbocho Station, next to a certain famous ramen shop. Apparently it had been closed during the pandemic, but it has made a wonderful comeback. The lunch menu consists of “本日のランチ,” which includes a main dish, and several pasta lunch options. However, at present, the pasta selection has been narrowed down because of ingredient sourcing. The main-dish option is presented as a course, with salad, bread, a main dish, and dessert, so it really could be called a course meal. Located on a backstreet, this is a restaurant I recommend for enjoying carefully prepared dishes, down to the smallest details, in a peaceful atmosphere.

It had been closed for a long time because of COVID, but I visited right away after hearing it had reopened. I ordered today's special lunch, pork braised in red wine. The restaurant itself feels quite retro, but the food is outstanding! The main-course meat was slowly braised and the sauce was delicious; everything, from the warm vegetable side, freshly baked bread and butter, and salad to the dessert, was on the level of an elegant dinner. At 1500円, I feel they might be making a loss, but apparently it's a special lunch to celebrate reopening.

The 1500円 special lunch was very delicious, and charging around 2800円 for it wouldn't be unreasonable. It feels overwhelmingly lived-in, so I can't say the atmosphere is good. Also, ashtrays are set out as standard, so it smelled of cigarette smoke even with no other customers there. The food deserves more than 5 points and the atmosphere 1 point, resulting in 4 points overall.
