Soba noodle shop

A novel, unconventional dipping sauce: our own house-blended chili oil added to a rich, sweet-and-spicy soup custom-made for our shop using soba-shop kaeshi. The soba is our signature house-made noodle that other shops can't imitate, finished with a rugged, satisfyingly chewy texture not found elsewhere and that holds its own against ramen noodles. Topped with heaps of green onion, sesame, and nori, it's a soba that's fun to look at and whets the appetite. We've crafted it into a dish that will satisfy even the most devoted ramen lover.

This is our new favorite soba restaurant! They have a unique soba flavor that really stands out. We ordered the beef dipping soba, which is one of their best menu items. The price is the same for small, medium, or large noodles, and you also get one free egg. You usually mix the egg into the dipping sauce—and it tastes so good! You can also add their signature rayu. It’s not spicy, but it adds great flavor. You should definitely try their tempura menu too. The most popular item is the chikuwa tempura 🤤 It’s cheap and surprisingly big. The shrimp tempura was also delicious. It’s a small shop with limited seating, so you may need to wait during peak hours. The staff are foreigners—possibly Vietnamese (just a guess 🙇🏻‍♀️)—and they speak English, which is a plus 👍 We always order the dipping soba, but I’m sure the rest of the menu is good too. If you’re tired of ramen 😂, this is a great alternative. They’ll ask how firm you want your noodles: hard, medium, or soft. I prefer soft because it’s easier to eat 😂 Since the noodles are served cold, they don’t soften over time like ramen. I tried ordering hard once, but it was too crunchy for me 😂

Great selection and delicious dishes. The spice level isn't crazy so if you're a spicy food enjoyer I'd definitely recommend going. The portions are also pretty big so it's good value for your money. The place is quite small though and the tables are for two people max so it's perfect for couples or lone travellers.

Service is average, just normal ramen shop service. But the soba though- it was excellent. I ordered the pork soba with tororo and was pleasantly surprised by how well the goma oil and chilli oil combined with the tororo. Free flow water, (raw) egg and tempura bits. Loved it and will definitely be back when I’m in Japan.

I had the chicken soba and it was super flavourful and delicious! The waiter asked how spicy I would like it and I got a non-spicy version which, just because I can’t handle heat, was still a little spicy for me, but really delicious!!

Inventive Soba restaurant. It's rather original noodle than a classic Japanese Soba, and some people may say it's junk food. However, chewy texture and spicy soup hooked me on, and I couldn't stop slurping. Egg and Tenkasu (Tempura bits) are for free, so you can put them into the soup as much as you want. The price is flat for any size. (small, medium, large)
