A yummy Tempura lunch in central Tokyo🇯🇵 especially guest may watch in an open kitchen, how did grandpa chef cook these delicious Tempura at front of you, as well as grandma chef prepared dishes for guests. A typical Japan local family restaurant experience in Central Tokyo, highly recommend👍

The place is small. Only 7 seats. So you have to wait in line if you're not there earlier than the opening time, and you need to eat fast for others waiting. Also, people usually remain quiet while eating to focus on eating and leave quickly. The price is very cheap, considering the given portion. I ordered shrimp set (海老定食) and add eel (あなご). It was amazing. I recommend you ask for fewer rice (少なめ) because the normal size is actually big.

Below expectation. We waited more than 30min to have our lunch, but honestly the taste of the food and the quality of the fries were not that good. I had the shrimp set and added some eel and more. The fries were soggy, oily and not crunch at all. Everything include rice and miso soup was pretty much average.

This is Japanese traditional TENNPURA restaurant, lunch set as I attached photo cost only 900 Jpy = 6 US$. Master will start cooking when you ordered. But this restaurant is quite popular among Local Japanese, so please be patient to stand in line to get your seat. As for Taste, here is so recommended

Toward the end of the meal, the owner suddenly said to me, “Please don’t leave any rice.” I was really confused and looked at my bowl — there were only a few grains of rice stuck to the side. His attitude felt very rude and didn’t come across as a polite reminder at all. From the moment I walked in, I was very polite, and I ate calmly the entire time. I honestly don’t think he would have spoken that way to Japanese customers. I could clearly feel a sense of hostility.
