Owned by a lovely couple, the master carefully makes every cup and dish with care. Also, a cornerstone in the community, the owner, Konai-san, often tells us of the current community festivals and also teaches me about what holiday or tradition is being celebrated. The interior is so relaxing and boasts chairs from the Kanaya Hotel in Nikko, a hotel that had guests like Einstein, Helen Keller and Eleanor Roosevelt. I love the monaka set, with fresh fruits and mochi and the black hand drip coffee goes very well with it!
View on GoogleHeading to Nezu from Ueno park, couldn't help to stop by this old fashion restaurant, combined with the wooden furniture, cozy jazz and lovely beef stew, it surely made my day despite the already perfect Tokyo trip.
