This a great place and our go to. The owner and team are wonderful. You can taste the care they put into the dishes. The skewers all came out delicious, good pace and just right. There are some other notables besides just skewers. Such as the Cesar salad, soup and rice dishes.
View on GoogleWe were looking for yakitori/izakaya and decided to try out this restaurant. Yet contrary to what we expected this was not izakaya type but a more yakitori courses meal type. And the atmosphere when we were there was really quiet only 4 groups including us. All were Japanese except us. There was a group of Japanese customers who were turned away because the chef/owner said that it was fully booked. So we ordered one with 7 skewers and one with 5 skewers course meals. The waiter did come and asked us if there was anything we didn’t like and they could substitute with other items. There were appetizers before the skewers. They were exquisitely displayed like kaiseki cuisine. Also tasted wonderfully. 5 skewers were leg meat ground meatballs liver gizzards and shamo chicken with negi onions. The 7 skewers were the same with one chicken skin and one heart. They were grilled perfectly. I personally liked the meatballs. During the meal the server was very polite and attentive. Even when we left he remained us be careful about the stairs and personally came with us downstairs and bowed as we left. I was touched because we were seldom treated the highest level of courtesy except at the ryokan. I would have given them one more star if I could. Thank you very much. I saw other reviewers mentioning they were rejected because they didn’t speak Japanese. I just wanted to say me and my partner only speak conversational beginner’s level Japanese. I am sure everyone is welcome here.

View on GoogleWe can't evaluate this - apparently great izakaya - because we were kicked out as we don't speak japanese yet 😅
